I had explicitly travelled down all the way for dinner, with the understanding as per the application that either the 1-1 Donburi or 30% off total bill could be used. 1-1 states in the terms and conditions “not applicable for lunch deal”, which I acknowledge. I was there during dinner time and I was not going to opt for a lunch deal. Prior to ordering, I checked with the waiter whether I could use the 30% or 1-1 donburi deal. To my surprise, he pointed that the donburi 1-1 was only for the premium donburi and NOT for the other regular donburis which were NOT part of the lunch deal — they were ala carte donburis that we can purchase during the dinner service so I don’t understand how it was a lunch deal to the restaurant. Worse thing is the 30% was only available for the SHARING PLATTERS, but on the app it clearly stated “not valid with 1-1 deal” which is reasonable but it’s basically inaccurate advertising that deserves a further compliant because it is unethical to use the Burpple platform and yet deny customers any use of the Burpple vouchers when they had already arrived at the resto. The food and service was good and we did not complain with the staff as I suppose company policy is not his fault, but this is highly unethical and Burpple should look into ensuring that the resto isn’t lying about their offers stated on this app as we have paid for Burpple subscription, how can the restaurant claim that every page on their menu that is NOT a lunch deal is still a “deal” except their premium bowls? And how can they indicate NO EXCLUSIONS on their 30% off total bill but inform guest that this is only for sharing plates but not mains? Why not for mains if they didn’t exclude on Burpple? Dishonest.
Had the crabmeat aglio olio. Delicious but a little bit too salty, 8/10
Hokkien vongole which is their famous star dish was a little underwhelming but not bad at a 7.5/10, tasted a bit like a more watered down version of HKK mee but somehow quite nice also.
Thai basil pork pasta, 7.5/10
Don’t recommend the enoki bacon Lok Lok. Very fried and oily. Tbh their food as a whole, is quite strong tasting and salty — will be great if they can tone down on the salt.
Will come again for the crabmeat aglio olio!
I think they're using Burpple as an advertising platform, because the restaurant seems to have an all day buffet at 30++(?), which would still be a lot cheaper for a family of 4 compared to using burpple 1-1 same item, depends on whether you prefer to select the premium meats or go for quantity! In my view, there's greater cost savings visiting without the use of burpple than using burpple for ala carte. Overall, staff are doing their best but still quite absent minded (forgot our extra bowls, mixed up other people's orders, another table's buffet spread didn't have sotong available but the restaurant didn't inform them). Overall the food was pleasant, but the deal on Burpple is a worthless one, their buffet offers better cost savings.
Kinda bitter and intense, but really gives you the matcha taste! Hot version is much smaller than the cold one, top up $1 for cold version!

Note: both has great service, ratings are for the food taste.
Delicious cheesy layers topped with vege! Personally, prefer this to the meat version. Tastes just as delicious. Would come back again for this!

Ah, the classic XLB! Delicious pork broth encased in tender skin. Skin doesn't break easily when picked up with chopsticks. Classic Din Tai Fung XLB, yummy!

Bread was more like brioche bread. Lots of mushrooms and a good dose of truffle/garlic flavour with cajun fries on the side! Very yummy, especially love the soft bread.

Coconut milk and peach gum! Peach gum is high in collagen so it's good. Coconut milk wasn't very sweet, more of a light taste. Peach gum was great. I would like to think its healthier but the coconut milk... :(
$4.90 for medium size, top up $1 for large. Featured is the large size.
