The dessert was good but I felt that I was slightly pricy. Especially their drinks.

The Singapore famous Spanish doughnuts joint at Orchard Central. Given many attempt of getting their Churros but unfortunately, it was sold out by then around 8pm. So I've decided yesterday to head down earlier at around 4pm! There were still Churros available but the horrendous queue in front of me was about 15people before my turn to make an order. The experience I thought was mouth-filling but ended up to be soso, given the three choices of chocolate dips!

This is a medley of macaroons and chocolates, part of the sweet endings on the Chef's dessert platter. Joie is a new restaurant located on the rooftop garden of Orchard Central specializing in modern meatless cuisine.

The rosemary in my rosemary lime iced tea was so strong that even when watered down with more tea, it was still unbearable. I had to make do with just iced water 😁

Having seen Burpplers share numerous positive reviews about this famous brand of freshly-baked cookies originating from England, I had to grab a few when I passed by the shop in Wisma Atria recently. Once I had a bite, I totally understood their popularity.
Regardless of variant, these thick cookies were all very yummy, with a chewy-dough goodness that had generous chunks of sweet gooey chocolate.
I'd definitely buy Ben's Cookies again. And on the off chance I can't finish them all at one go -- haha, fat chance of that happening 😝 -- it's comforting to know they can keep for up to 4 days.

Egg-soaked Brioche served with salted caramel, berries and bananas. Serving of salted caramel was generous but the Brioche could be soaked in egg longer so that the bread could absorb more of its flavour. Decent, but not impressive.

I think anyone with a basic knowledge of grammar who reads the menu (image in my pic above) will understand there's meant to be MORE than one egg for the Brioche and Portobello Stack ($23++). However, as you can see, there was only one and it wasn't even runny 😔 But that's not the best part. Hearing the waitress explain to me that it is a mistake in the menu and the dish is meant to have only one egg was. The next best part after that was when I asked her what if I wanted two eggs. Well, I would need to pay for the extra egg. Hmmmm... so when their menu misleads, it is on me the customer to pay? Interesting...
I hope cafés and restaurants understand it is much better to manage customers' expectations in the future by quickly correcting any typo errors in menus once they're spotted. Then nobody is disappointed.

I loved how the bread pudding was wrapped in filo pastry, which gave it a nice crunch in contrast to the softness of the pudding. I was disappointed that the pear wasn't really noticeable, but the yummy nut brittle (supporting the ice-cream) and caramel made up for it! Like the sticky date pudding, this dessert was not too sweet and quite light despite the caramel and ice-cream.

Fruit tart always have such an alluring effect on me. They are usually the first to call out to me to order them and I usually do as well. However, I have a certain expectation of how a tart should be and it may be easy to disappoint me as well .

This tart still needs to be perfected (in terms of taste), especially the Shortbread Crust, but I can't deny how beautiful it looks.

A very dark and rich chocolate cookie for the chocoholic. The enticing truffle chocolate chips cookies are mildly crisp on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. Comes in a jar, one of the decadent desserts created by pastry chef Janice Wong.

D-caf is found in the boutique AFDC. If you need a place to hide from the crowd, it is the place to go. They serve cakes from Butter Studio and is currently having a 50% discount on cake with any purchase of coffee or tea. The earl grey cake is strong in earl grey taste but it is drier as compared with the salted caramel red velvet cake. They do have a few selection of tea blend. I quite like my Riesling Tea, a white tea with subtle notes of lemon and apricot.
