The cakes look really pretty in the glass canisters laid out on the side tables, just too tempting. The cakes were not too sweet, red velvet was soft and nice (colleagues loved it) with the cream cheese; the chocolate cake paled in comparison, a little chunky. Overall a decent fare.

Both the tiramisu and hokkaido milk ice cream are homemade by their in-house award winning pastry chef. This is truly one of a kind as the taste of it evolves in your mouth and I especially like the ice cream. Topped w chocolate sauce, frozen watermelon and slices of honeydew makes it refreshing.

The hot churos taste way much better. Piping hot with hot chocolate, what more can you ask for. Whereas, these lovelies here just looked great with no substance to boot. And the worse part? The service is so bad and the staff is perpetually on tortoise crawl in their move, that it really NOT worth the wait at all.

Comes with a serving size of three pieces or six pieces, with a choice of Dark, Milk or White Chocolate. The Dark Chocolate dip was well-balanced bittersweet, but the Churros had a tasteless batter that was only crispy and absorbed with oil, leaving a rather greasy aftertaste.

I swear this is the only slice of rainbow cake($7.50) I'll lay my hands on!!! I'm not a fan of rainbow cakes, even though they are pretty to look at, they are purely made out of artificial dyes which can be a major turnoff for me. On the contrary, this cake is made from real fruit juice which means that every layer is burst with flavors! Superbly moist and the buttercream is not gelat at all leaves you wanting for more. Pink: strawberry orange: orange, yellow: lemon blue: blueberry. Can't remember the other flavors but it's a must try!!!

Simply love the presentation of the cakes & they're really good too. A cheesecake that's not too heavy or sweet, the royal pudding that needs no introduction & a refreshing grapefruit yogurt cake. Gonna be back there to try more of their desserts for sure!

The Napoleon Tea & Caramel macaron from TWG is my favourite macaron. This macaron tastes just like a soft chewy cookie. Not just its texture, which is delicate and chewy as a macaron should be, but its flavour as well! It is also not sickeningly sweet. I've tried almost all the flavours at TWG, and this is my favourite, followed by Moroccan Mint. TWG macarons are medium sized, and cost $2 each, which is probably one of the cheapest. I have to admit that TWG sometimes slips up and I get overly dry macarons :( But these are rare occasions (only once so far) so that's ok! :)

Banana muscovado loaf with peanut butter cream and 24 Karat Brownie. Been loving their cakes since they opened a physical store a year ago. Moist and full of flavor. Yummy. Must try!!!

Petit Rose
Rose flavored Marcon. Crispy on the outside and creamy in the inside. A hard rose flavored aftertaste. It was so good that it made hard to swallow.
Opera Classique
Chocolate is always the last dessert to taste. It has the heaviest taste, especially this one. The thick texture made it very hard to cut through. Don't swallow it immediately. Let it linger in your mouth, as the chocolate slowly melts away, it's taste just filled up the taste bud.
Chantilly
This was my favorite dessert of the day. First you will tasted the sweet cream, then the sour lemon filling followed up. The hint of lemon made this dessert so refreshing and light. How to stop eating??? Strawberry Shortcake
Lady favorite! Soft and fluffy sponge cake with fresh strawberry. Need I explain more?

Probably one of the better milkshakes that I've tasted. Sinful, no doubt, but what a sweet way to end my days of dieting. Special mention must be given to the chewy salted caramel macaron, I like it when my macarons are slightly chewy.

The Providore @ Mandarin Gallery SG

This was the one and only cafe that I could stop by during my short trip.
Look at the pretty coffee art! Hehe Featuring piccolo latte and flat white. Their coffee here is not bad. Aromatic, mild acidity and overall a nice body. Perfect balance between milk and coffee.

Combatting my post holiday blues with my favorite carrot cake. Priced at 3.8 a square (👆 is 2). Each mouth is packed with fat, juicy sultanas injected (not too sure if this is the correct word) with whiskey and generous amount of thinly grated carrots 🐰🐰 It's not too heavily spiced nor dense so you won't get the jelat feeling after you're done and the cream cheese is just light and creamy.
