Pork & Chive Dumplings ($32) we did redeemed 1 for 1 burpple under main dish so the ambience was really intimate and dim light setting. consisted of truffle emulsion, truffle pate, coconut flakes and sourdough bread. my friend and i we did enjoy to eat this dish finish bc got not that strong truffle.

Not a real 1-for-1 deal Been here several times. Food here is 10/10. However, did not appreciate that they have a separate price menu for burpple user without informing us. This menu is priced higher than their normal menu. Ultimately only saved ~$5 as compared to 2 mains from their original menu.

Good bowl of Chirashi Easy fix for a bowl of chirashi. What's funny is that they have a separate pricing menu for those using the Burrple 1 for 1, the prices for it was being jacked up. Strange thou.

Amazing fusion pasta Ordered the beef tataki capellini and the beef was cooked perfectly. It was so tender and easy to eat. The pasta sauce was also a very interesting flavour (similar to green curry). Would come back again to try the other things on their menu

Tagliatelle Al Granchio ($30) Blue Swimmer Crab | Sambal Romesco Sauce This was a dish that ultimately failed to impress us. For starters, the tagliatelle was less firm than what we expected, and also different from the Aglio Olio spaghetti. The sauce was reminscent of chilli crab sauce, albeit much less on the sweetness, but it didn't illicit any feelings of 'wow' or even an 'ooh'. Felt that the crabbiness of the dish was also muted. All in all, would not recommend this dish.

Hokkien Mee Their Hokkien mee was legendary and we're glad they kept it after revamp. There are large prawns, chunky roast meat, sotong, garlic sprouts, good-quality lard and superb chilli sauce. One thing that changed: no more beehoon in it.

Wonton Mee Their wanton mee has always looked amazing. There's chashu, onsen egg, fried wantons, milk cabbage. It's sumptuous and the lard was good quality.

Ngoh Hiong This attracted us for its use of crabmeat and Kurobuta pork. But wu xiang being wu xiang, the filling was minced and mixed together. It tasted decent but I couldn't tell what I was eating. The sweet sauce was so nostalgic.

the best thing on the menu I had the Elvis ($11) which had PB, raw cacao, banana blended together to form a thick & creamy smoothie bowl, topped with house-made vanilla granola. Also topped with raw peanut butter cubes which were to die for!! The top layer was rich pb & choc, and the bottom sticky crunchy layer was a mixture of crushed cashews, pitted dates & coconut.

change to gluten free toast!!!! was convinced by a friend to change the buns of the Portobello Mushroom Burger ($18) to Gluten-free Toast (+$3). It’s LIFE CHANGING SERIOUSLY. As usual, their potato chunks taste amazing esp when paired with their housemade mayo.

Kaffir lime guava strawberry 5.5++ This is a masterpiece. Properly crispy and airy on the top and dense enough with some chew at the bottom of the pastry. The sauce is absolutely stunning too. Super strong, incredibly fruity but the strength is cleverly balanced out by the cream Well thought out, well executed, high quality ingredients and very satisfying. Not to mention it's not too greasy Must try. Get this to takeaway tho, why spend money just for eating there

Northern Malaysian Coconut US Beef Stew with Sourdough $22 A very lemak , 36 hour sous-vide US beef short plate and brisket with rendang-esque housemade coconut stew brimming with spices. Melt-in-your-mouth would be the most appropriate superlative. It’s topped with jiggly onsen egg and served with plenty of toasted sourdough to scoop up the saucy goodness with. - Taste: 3.5/5

Mr Kakuni Toast $19 I appreciate the unique takes on brunch at @evanskitch, the chef has really put his personal stamp on the dishes here. - Slabs of glisteningly fatty char siew sauce-glazed pork belly slices are layered over a bed of perfectly scrambled egg. The meat is cooked for 36 hours until meltingly soft, then aburi-ed for a smoky finish. - Chicken floss, as well as scallion, furikake and chilli strands add a decidedly Japanese fluorish, but what truly takes it leftfield is the passionfruit sauce and pickled papaya buried innocuously under all the under ingredients, lending a tropical sweetness to each bite. Does it all work together? Not quite, as the almost multitudinous mix and match of components can confuse the palate at times. It’s a good dish overall, but a little editing could have gone a long way. - Taste: 3/5

North Malaysian Curry Beef Stew Very delicious brunch cafe with fusion dishes. Flavours are very balanced. Smoked salmon, mentaiko with pork floss is a great combination. The curry beef stew is also very fragrant, meat is tender, and goes well with the sourdough bread.

Have been wanting to visit this eatery for a long time since I always frequent Funan mall area, but always putting it off because i found the price slightly ex for the ricebowla. Finally dropped by to try the food one fine day! Have read quite a few good reviews for the Fried Tofu Rice Bowl ($9.90) so decided to try it out! This rice bowl came with crispy coated fried tofu, scrambled egg, braised mushroom, furikake, seaweed and with miso soup. I will say portion wise it was filling. Dinner at Hopscotch 🍝🍽️ I had an amazing dining experience here! Both the mains and cocktail menus were incredibly extensive —we were truly spoiled for choice. The cocktail selection, in particular, stood out with its creative and unique themes. My friend and I decided to go for the 'edible cocktails,' which were as delightful in flavor as they were visually stunning. For mains, we opted for the truffle linguine and the black garlic ribeye steak. The truffle linguine was rich and perfectly balanced, with the earthy aroma of truffle and generous portion of bonito flakes elevating every bite. The black garlic ribeye steak was incredibly tender and packed with umami flavor, complemented by mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. We really enjoyed both dishes, and the portion sizes were impressively generous - definitely great value for money! If you're looking for a dinner spot with good food, creative drinks, and a convenient location at a reasonable price, I'd highly recommend Hopscotch!! :)

cocktail night a perfect place for date night for the ladies! there is soo many cocktails to choose from and you can choose accordingly to the notes you prefer - sweetness, acidity etc. all stated clearly on the menu with the ingredients meanwhile the gentleman can just have a pint or two! but definitely worth a visit :)
