Ordered the grasshopper and pecan pie! Preferred the latter as they were generous with the nuts and I loved the brown sugar filling! The former was pretty good too, tasted like a mint chocolate chip ice cream put into pie form!
Not to be missed is their iced chocolate! It was so so thick and decadent yet not overly sweet! Do yourself a favour and get it!
Ordered the fishermen angel hair pasta and though the pasta was slightly overdone, the sweet, slightly spicy sauce paired well with the fresh seafood! Tasted like elevated mee goreng (idk if that’s what they were going for)!
The sous vide steak was also great! Tender, juicy and well cooked!
This meal was super worth the burpple 1 for 1!
Got the Reuben and spicy chicken sandwich! Of the two, I loveddddd the chicken sandwich! Mildly spicy, juicy and crispy chicken drizzled in HONEY topped with a delicious slaw!!!! The Reuben was also pretty good cause they were very generous with the beef but it was a little too salty for me and nothing else :’) cheese and bread were good tho!
Ordered the chilli crab pasta and I really liked it! Sauce was rich but not overpowering and the pasta was nice and al dente! They were very generous with the soft shell crab and it was covered in herbs and spices (tasted a little odd at first but I grew to love it) with 1 for 1, it’s definitely worth a try!
This was a teeny tiny bowl of laksa and had only a few cockles in there (maybe 3?), was fresh tho. However, the small bowl didn’t come cheap. Taste was not bad! Quite rich and yet not jelak! I guess if you’re in the area, you can give it a shot? But I wouldn’t travel all the way for this.
The char shao came highly recommended but I felt that it was a tad dry even though the seasoning was good. Loved the wantons in XO sauce though! Delightfully crispy and the springy filling was nicely seasoned. Sauce was yummy too! Noodles were al dente but the seasoning was very light (add chilli to amp up the flavour)! The free flow soup was also a bit salty btw.
Tender, juicy meat and super crispy skin along with a deliciously sweet sauce, AMAZING! Even by the end of the meal when the chicken’s all cold, THE SKIN WAS STILL CRISPY! Idk what sorcery they used but whatever it is, they’re doing it right. The soft tofu stew was just aight, the star of the show is defo the fried chicken.
This is gonna be heaven for all truffle and chirashi lovers out there!!! The rice was infused with a strong truffle aroma and the sashimi was nice and fresh! The unagi was really tender (but not crispy on the outside like manman’s) but honestly, for
This is way way way way better than Starbucks first and foremost bc it’s not doused in sugar. And for $5, it certainly is very affordable for such a large cup! I’ve tried quite a few drinks and my fav thus far are the vanilla latte and green tea latte!
Crispy baguette with a molten centre, could it BE any better? Honestly you can’t go wrong with whatever flavour you choose, but personally the chocolate, oreo and matcha are my fav! I like how it’s not overly sweet too!
The chicken platter was my fav out of the bunch! The meat was flavourful, smoky and tender. The platter gives you a variety of different flavours that encourages you to step out of your usual “tandoori” comfort zone.
The butter chicken comes highly recommended! It is very buttery and more savoury than sweet! I can definitely see why people would like it but it’s not my personal cup of tea!
Definitely more on the pricey end for Indian food though as this whole meal cost me $74 lol RIP :’)
I always go for their signature mango pomelo or durian mousse which are delicious! Don’t get me wrong! But the mango aiyu has to be my new favourite! The fragrant mango along with the sweet ice pairs well with the refreshing aiyu jelly!
