Not the best party platters of sort i have ever eaten, it isn’t bad but not impressive as well. The fried chicken tenders are comparable to texas chicken’s, sausage is good tasting (just good), beef steak average, everything else is average too. Nothing that surprises me but if you have to get something to share, i would recommended getting the other mains to share, at least they tasted much different than what u can get at other places. They offer mainly western(American) inspired korean dishes, so you are interested to see what they offer, you can give it a try!

My first time trying poke! have been craving for it but never tried it due to its commonly expensive price. 15.80 dollars for 2 scoops of sashimi. I loved the onsen egg, adding a creamy dimension to every each of my bite. The seasoned sashimis are deeellliicciouuss, tasted fresh, and absolutely sublime with the rice and vege sides. A right balance of saltiness from the fish and freshness from the greens. This officially begins my search for better pokes of better values!! Great start!!

Not the most flavourful plate of briyani i have ever had. The rice lack fragrance from the spices but the chicken is still tender. The curry served is average. In overall, this is a slightly below average fix for briyani cravings. Price wise, at the higher side since its a restaurant, approximately 12 dollars for a plate.

If you have a craving for nonya dishes, this is a comfortable fix. Its better than average in my opinion, and the lunch sets are worth it to give it a try. So go try it soon!

One of my favourite bowl of bak kut teh in singapore. Nice amount of pepper flavour for the spicy kick, not too much that it covers the fragrance of the soup itself. The broth has a deep, meaty pork flavour to it, savoury in every bite. Meats are off the bone for this one, packed with flavours too! Plus point: the staff here are very friendly, they go the extra mile to make little simple interactions with you as well, which i appreciate a lot. They are very generous with they soup refills too, YES REFILLS, and every refill still taste as flavourful!

BY FAR, the best bowl of lor mee i ever had. The gravy is so smooth, not too salty, very fragrant, and binds together all the ingredients really well together. Every bite pack with the coriander aroma, smoothly salted fish pieces, slight vinegar punch, fragrant from the chilli paste, and lastly the garlic to make the taste deeper. It is amaaazzinngg. MUST TRY

This green tea bingsu is not to sweet, thats why i like it as a dessert; not overly sweet but still refreshing after my dinner. The ice cream is delicious, nothing over the top but just a good scoop of matcha ice cream. One word for it, REFRESHING!

This stall probably has over 30 different types of fish soups to offer. Definitely many plus points to variety! As the stall owner has admitted, they do not add msg to the soup, making it healthy but also rather bland in taste as well. However, the ingredients in the soup are well seasoned and tasted fresh as well, above that, they have many types of chilli to accompany your every bite. Hence to me, though the soup can be bland tasting, i appreciate the insistence on making in healthy for customers and focusing their efforts on tastier ingredients and condiments. Its not the best fish soup out there, but a comfortable healthy choice if you cannot decide what to have for your meal, theres plenty to choose from!

Me and my girlfriend ordered a plate of german pork knuckle to share among us. The meat is not very soft but has a good bite to it, not too tough. The crispy skin of the pork knuckle is crackling crispy at some areas, but for other areas it can be rather hard to bite into. I suspect its because the pork knuckles are cooked in batches, placed aside and only reheated before serving. The portion feeds 3, too much of the meat can turn you off easily, so i recommend having other dishes with it. I don’t believe this is a good representation of the famous german pork knuckle but if you have the craving for it, maybe this can help, just maybe.

For hawker standards and price point, this is by far the best herbal soup i have ever had. The taste is much deeper and rich than regular herbal soups. Ingredients tasted fresh too! To be honest, it tastes like the double boiled chicken soup you have at Chinese restaurants which costs 15 dollars for a small bowl. This only costs $6.50, what.

Then the pumpkin rice, gosh, savoury and sweet from the pumpkin, you can sense that they were generous with the ingredients with the rice, which help to pack it with much more flavour unlike the regular ones you have. Whats more, the amount of rice they gave is a bigger portion than typical, more plus points!

One more thing is while having the soup, I realise they do not pack tons of herbs at the bottom too, meaning even more room for their delicious soup, yay!

Typically, you don’t taste much of the yam whenever you have yam cakes, because they are mostly made up of flour “cake”. However the one i tasted in this stall has a good flavour of yam in every bite, and the amount of yam cubes in the cake is generous. Good find in chinatown!

Savoury and rich broth, awesome with white rice. But most importantly, the fish are so fresh, one of the freshest i have ever had! Even though its at the pricier side of fish head steamboat among others that i have tried, the freshness of the ingredients makes it all worthwhile if you have the budget to spend! On top of that, they have many condiments to go with your fish, sambal, red chilli, belachan etc. Highly recommended for special occasions too because since its opened at the HDB neighbourhood, they do not charge any gst for it!
