Their prices are super affordable, starting from RM9 for a wholesome, hearty meal. The ambience is amazingly calm and they do provide a small enclosed area for people who prefer some alone time. They have all day set meals starting from RM12.90 for a rotating menu of rice meals, a homemade scone and jam, along with a cup of coffee or tea. One thing about their menu is they show exactly all the ingredients they use in that dish, so you can spot for allergies and food preferences easily, also confirming that you'll be eating whole foods only.
Pictured: 🍜 Da Jia Mixed Vegetables Mee Soup - Original Soup (RM8.90) 🍰 Homemade Carrot Cake (RM4/slice ; RM12/loaf) 🍮 Homemade Pumpkin Brownie (RM4/slice ; RM12/loaf)
The broth was heartwarming with a good portion of vegetables and black fungus, considering the price, but the soup got slightly salty when it's cold. The carrot cake was perfectly moist and not too dense, just the cream cheese was slightly too oily. I expected more pumpkin goodness from the brownie, but it was chocolatey and moist. (or should I say oily?) The takeaway: Definitely a choice if you don't want to splurge on expensive café food just for the ambience, because you can get the equal peace and quiet here at Nalanda. I would also come back for the warm meals which are definitely worth the price.

also, a generous serving of meat (even though they're not my thing) and taugeh (if you ask for it)~ you can also see the rempah used to cook the soup, yums for authenticity! 🍜🌶 #burpple #currymee #serikembangan

Diet? Today is nacho day. Crispy nachos topped with a generous layer of cheesy goodness, with a choice of meat for around RM21. The dip is so guiltily addictive and creamy!

Cibiuk offers a variety of authentic Javanese sambals with steamed vegetables as appetisers, my favourite being the sambal tempeh. 🌶 Be prepared to be sniffling!

📍 Cibiuk, Puchong
I have a high tolerance for spicy food and this made me sniffle, which is great! Their menu is completely in bahasa indonesia (which is very similar to bm, no worries) with images if you're confused.
We tried their version of tauhu sumbat (stuffed tofu with corn, chilli, prawns, chicken meat, black ear fungus etc. for RM14.80) and it was awesome, even the coating batter was nice.
They serve two versions of tempeh, one coated with batter and one not. We ordered the coated version (RM6.80) and let me assure you that even if you don't like tempeh or fried food, you'll love this. If you love cucur udang, then I'm gonna cupid you to order this.
For the main course, we got Nasi Liwet Komplit Ayam Bakar (RM18.80). The price differs with which part of the chicken you order. Nasi liwet is their version of nasi minyak, my favorite part is that it comes wrapped in plenty of banana leaves, with lots of shallots.
The sambal shown is made from mainly chillies and tomatoes, which is also tops my list. I love how generous they with the ingredients to prepare the most authentic dishes and the best experience. Best of all, the prices are affordable and so worth the preparation effort, about RM15 per person! I'd definitely be back to tongue torture my non-spice friendly friends and family with amazing Javanese cuisine. 🍗🍲🌶🔥

I'd compare the spiciness to Kyochon. The chicken seasoning plus the kimchi rice burger makes it flaming hot. -my brother with a burning tongue (RM17.90)

Good Ground Bakery bakes their treats fresh daily and best believe they're gonna hug your tummy a big hug. They're famous for their banana loaf (RM6) for the right reasons - chunky pieces of bananas resting in a moist, flavourful banana bread-cake. Their cupcakes have me shookt to the core - specifically the carrot cake one, which has generous amounts of raisins and dessicated coconut~ The tarts were AMAZING, priced at RM7 each, totally worth it. The lemon brulee tart was sweet with the right hint of sourness while the chocolate tart was a literal pool of semisweet chocolate! Not forgetting the brioche with chocolate and bananas, they smelt soooo good.
Overall, Good Ground Bakery serves treats that punch your sweet tooth in the face (it's actually more enjoyable and less painful than it sounds) for an affordable price. 😊

Lime Steamed Fish 酸柑蒸魚 (RM36)
Homemade Minced Meat Tofu (RM13)
Lamyu Yao Mak Vegetables (RM12)
Homemade Herbal Tea (RM3)

Came here a few times and my family was attracted by the fresh seafood and rice that was packed with millet. This time there weren't as much millet and the overall experience wasn't as awesome as the last few times I was here, perhaps the bosslady wasn't around to keep everything top notch. Nevertheless, the food was still good and I would recommend family goers to try this place out. Also, you can request to add extra mushrooms to the steamed fish too. They boil their herbal tea themselves with generous ingredients, so it is pretty worth the price.
