Their prices are super affordable, starting from RM9 for a wholesome, hearty meal. The ambience is amazingly calm and they do provide a small enclosed area for people who prefer some alone time. They have all day set meals starting from RM12.90 for a rotating menu of rice meals, a homemade scone and jam, along with a cup of coffee or tea. One thing about their menu is they show exactly all the ingredients they use in that dish, so you can spot for allergies and food preferences easily, also confirming that you'll be eating whole foods only.

The broth was heartwarming with a good portion of vegetables and black fungus, considering the price, but the soup got slightly salty when it's cold. The carrot cake was perfectly moist and not too dense, just the cream cheese was slightly too oily. I expected more pumpkin goodness from the brownie, but it was chocolatey and moist. (or should I say oily?) The takeaway: Definitely a choice if you don't want to splurge on expensive café food just for the ambience, because you can get the equal peace and quiet here at Nalanda. I would also come back for the warm meals which are definitely worth the price.

Good Ground Bakery bakes their treats fresh daily and best believe they're gonna hug your tummy a big hug. They're famous for their banana loaf (RM6) for the right reasons - chunky pieces of bananas resting in a moist, flavourful banana bread-cake. Their cupcakes have me shookt to the core - specifically the carrot cake one, which has generous amounts of raisins and dessicated coconut~ The tarts were AMAZING, priced at RM7 each, totally worth it. The lemon brulee tart was sweet with the right hint of sourness while the chocolate tart was a literal pool of semisweet chocolate! Not forgetting the brioche with chocolate and bananas, they smelt soooo good.
Overall, Good Ground Bakery serves treats that punch your sweet tooth in the face (it's actually more enjoyable and less painful than it sounds) for an affordable price. 😊

But it's beef soup with a serving of white rice and kimchi (which got cropped off the picture) and it's an all day set meal for RM15, inclusive of refillable side dishes (all steamed veggies I'M DOWN) ok so I'm vegetarian (at least trying to be) BUT the beef soup is !!! GOOD as in you can feel the essence in it sia!! Also, generous portion of cabbage and onions got me 🌚🌚 The korean kimchi pancakes (RM8) were chewy but yet the vegetables inside add a crunchy punch to it. They're shallow fried so not exactly the healthiest option (since everything in the menu is pretty healthy) but they're pretty good, worth a try. If you're a poor foodie with a korean food craving, I would recommend this place.
