Their brown sugar yogurt drink and their oreo yogurt drink were really good! Pair it with boba to make it even better!

Great food combined with a great ambience creates a restaurant that is not only amazing for dates but also for families to visit. The food was extremely affordable for the quality that was provided such as the salmon moriawase and sashimi. Not only that, the restaurant infuses traditional Japanese tastes with a touch of modern brilliance. Items like the ordered parmesan chips were surprising (in a good way) in taste and left me wanting for more.

Other than the great food and the lovely ambience, the staff were also friendly and helpful. They accommodated every request! This restaurant is definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants I have been to in Singapore and moreover, it doesn't burn a hole in my pocket. I would really return again!

Definitely one of my favourite steak houses in Singapore without a doubt! The service was superb and the beef cuts they offer were truly unique. The tenderness of their medium rare black opal f1 wagyu is unlike any other- it was soft and juicy, and was made even better by their bordelaise wine-based sauce. Will surely come back for more!

For starters, I would recommend the roasted bone marrow together with the sourdough slices that comes with it. The texture of the bone marrow was just nice and it was really tasty!

I would also recommend the mac and cheese as an accompaniment to the steak. The restaurant was really generous with the amount of sauce and cheese which is something a pasta-lover like me truly appreciate!

Don’t forget to also end the meal off with a dessert. We tried the basque burnt cheesecake with strawberry sorbet and the two mixed together tasted unexpectedly good!

Their wagyu burger exceeded my expectations! It was so juicy and the patty was huge for the price. Their fries were really crispy too! I really recommend The Communal Place for those who are looking cafes to try in the Katong area :)

Bacio was great but the ube ice cream was too sweet and it colours one’s lips quite badly

Truffle baked mac was quite bland and truffle flavouring wasnt strong at all

The carbonara is really good but quite sickening towards the end while the laksa pasta was too spicy for our liking

My third time here and defo wont be my last. The food here never disappoints and the serving is just amazing. Youll definitely be full after a meal here. Ambience can be improved though as the indoor seating was really cramped while the outdoor seating didnt have much privacy at all

The service was great and prompt. The ambience was decent despite all the chatter. Their food could be less oily though, especially their pizzas

Will defo come back for the scallop bowl even if its one of their most expensive bowls on the menu. However, the service could be improved since there was only 1 staff working

The bowls they use here are really small so you wont really feel full after a meal. I really hope theyll consider increasing the quantity of the food they serve

The serving wasn’t too lavish and too much pepper was sprinkled on the bowl. Would be better if the quantity increases and the pepper is lessened
