If I had to choose my favourite Korean Fried Chicken franchise in SGP, it’ll be chir chir because:

1) Quality is good and more authentic than other brands like 4 Fingers
2) Value is good because of Burpple Beyond 1-1 deal
3) Variety is extensive

I highly recommend the original fried chicken, and highly DO NOT recommend the jjimddak (super spicy and too soupy, unlike the traditional ones).

I saw many reviews raving about the bulgogi (which I ordered as well) but IMO, the seafood pancake was the best thing on the table.

This pancake had a crispy exterior, with a soft & chewy consistency inside. The seafood flavour was strong, but not overpowering either. Other dishes we ordered include the bulgogi, spicy pork and kimchi stew which were all good themselves.

The restaurant boasts an extensive menu and it seems pretty authentic both in taste and ambience. I have high expectations for the other dishes since none of them have let me down yet so I’ll defo be back for more!!!

Have to admit that I was pretty envious of my friend’s burger when both our dishes were served.

But I made a choice for the healthier option that day, and I had to stick to it. One of my biggest grip about salads is that it’s not filling, but this was jam packed with ingredients! You can’t tell from the pic, but the bowl is HUGE so there’s a lot of veg at the bottom.

Overall, it is one of the more affordable options in MBS (if you don’t want to squeeze with the food court crowds) but if you’re on a student budget, I say don’t bother travelling all the way here because there are many gr8 burger joints out there with better prices!

Green curry (seafood) and Honey Chicken

The green curry was creamy and had the right amount of spiciness, although it is on the sweeter side. The honey chicken’s batter was amaaaazing and I appreciate that it was sufficiently lathered in the sauce. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed both dishes, perhaps because I did not expect much out of this random Thai shop hidden at the top floor of Paya Lebar Square.

For the steep price I paid, my expectations really fell flat when I saw the ingredients used in the carbonara. It also didn’t have much flavour (that I had to spam pepper by myself).

If you prioritise ambience over food, the night time atmosphere is pretty good because the restaurant is by the seaside. But if you’re living on a college budget, I’ll say forget it.

Opted for the upgraded version (additional ingredients and fresh prawns!) which costs $5.

Noodles were springy and the upgrade was definitely worth the money. However, the coffeeshop that this store is located in is pretty small and warm so we always have issues finding seats and end up sweating buckets.

Overall, I don’t think the bowl of noodles is spectacular enough for me to WANT to squeeze in the small + warm space but I wouldn’t mind heading there if I’m around the area.

$15 - Bacon & eggs burger (Double patties, house-made bacon jam, egg fritters, fried eggs)

The burgers come with a side of nachos but I upgraded it to wedges which costs $1.50 more. It was definitely a good decision though, because they gave a substantial amount and it was nicely fried and warm :-)

Nothing to complain about the burgers; they were simple and satisfying.

We waited pretty long for our food to come though (about 45mins - 1hr) , so you should try and avoid ordering during the peak hours.

12/pax for 4 people - 3 meat platters, cheese balls and tofu, cabbage, enoki mushroom, 2 x maggi

Overall, this is pretty affordable for mookata. My favourite meat was the marinated chicken šŸ˜

$14 - Brioche, bacon, grilled cherry tomatoes and feta cheese.

The brioche was delicious; soft and slightly sweet, which was a good pairing with the salty bacon and cheese.

Overall, the prices here are on the steeper side for a cafe unless you’re willing to fork out a bit more for the experience. The cafe is located in the Seletar Aerospace Park, which is spacious, green and peaceful - almost feels like you’re in Australia. Behind the cafe, there is also a beautiful garden for you to snap many pictures #forthegram

Fried squid with tteokbokki; kimchi fried rice, steamed egg, cheese, fried dumplings, creamed corn.

Everything on the platter was good, but the steamed egg really stood out to me šŸ˜ slurps.

Super worth it with the entertainer 1-1

Delicious šŸ˜‹šŸ˜‹šŸ˜‹ It was so flavourful and creamy, yet not the kind that you’ll get sick of after a few bites.

Nice place to bring your family and your date.

$28 - Stout braised iberico pork ribs

Flavour was average but the meat was too tough :-(

The cafe had good service and nice music. Recommend to reserve because v small space!
