I don't usually post just a lengthy post. But, yeah! I got to share this. This outlet is having a BBQ Buffet promo this week @ $39.90++. The bill adds up to $94 for 2 pax. I must share the food is good BUT the service is horrible. I'm atonished by the behavior of their staff, Sam serving at OneKM. We have been here queuing since 7.30pm. The other female Chinese staff took our pax count and explained that we will be served the 3rd round @ 8.50pm due to the seat limitation (entire restaurant has about 10 tables only) in the restaurant. The few customers behind a few of us were subsequently informed they may missed the last order and were turned away. Now at 8.50pm the staff Sam informed that we would not be able to be served with the buffet as we will only be served at 10pm (last order at 10.15pm). The fault of their staff has caused us to wait for closed to 2hrs for nothing. Due to the staff miscalculation and lack of proactiveness to chase customers to leave on time after the stipulated 90mins, we had to "suffer" the consequences of being turned away at such a late hour. If he was apologetic, we may empathetise with their difficult position. His words and manner in handling the situation could hardly be construed as an apology for the mistake. Customers have waited for more than 1 hour hungrily and be as patient as much as possible. Instead of understanding our position, he further argued that the promotion has ran for 1 month and everyone is tired from the great turnout from the promotion. Being the last 2 days of the promotion, the queue management in placed is still so lacking. All in all, we continued to wait and was let in at 9.50pm. We did not enjoy the full 90mins of the buffet. We did not eat much from the buffet as we had to rush our orders. This experience is a great disappointment and a major turn off to my previously positive impression of Gyu Kaku. I am a returning customer but this experience has let me and my friend down.

I'm not sure if I'm suay or this is the norm. This is my second time I visited Froth and both time I had a ultra long wait of more than 1 hour. They had so many walk in customers but they chose to close half of the area for a birthday party celebration on a weekend! I would suggest that u call prior visiting this cafe. Back to the food! Despite the long wait, we still enjoyed our food. Ordered the Taro waffles with earl grey ice cream and Red Velvet waffles with salted caramel ice cream. Personal preferences, I love the rich earl grey ice cream. Taro waffles is still the best. Wanted to try the banana waffles but not available for the day. Mixed fries comprising the sweet potatoes fries, truffle fries and yam fries. Felt that the truffle could be richer. Spam fries totally can't go wrong. Crispy enough! The chocolate cake was fudgey and most importantly rich chocolatey taste! All in all 7 people, we spent about $17/pax (including our own beverage).

This cafe is located near One North, at Infinite Studio. A little inaccessible if without car. But also means lesser crowd here. Food is reasonably priced. Total damage $43 for 2 pax. We ordered the Salmon Benedict and Frank's baked eggs. Salmon Benedict: Poached eggs are cooked just nice. Salad is tasty too. But the portion seems a little small as compared to other cafes I tried. Frank's baked eggs: this dish is about 20mins wait. Baked freshly upon order. Egg was a little over cooked as it has a rubbery texture. But the chicken sausage and tomato sauce were well cooked. Savory taste well matches the rye bread. Once again, 1 slice of bread is insufficient. Latte is good! Place is well decorated with comfortable ambience. Instagram friendly with nice lighting if you choose the right place!

Heavy milky taste. If you love milk, you will surely like this. Honeycomb is a little too small. Could hardly get much honey to go along. But they are having a promo right now. 50% off the second item. Try sharing this with a stranger if you are buying alone. I did and it was a funny encounter! #thisishowSingaporeangirlsshop Hahaha!

Have been wanting to try both Dosirak and Nam's brewing Thai tea and coffee. Had a chance to drop by the central area to takeaway lunch. Thai Iced Milk Tea (extra gold - not sure what's the difference with the normal one) from Nam's brewing thai tea and coffee is surprisingly taste almost the same as the ones I drank in Thailand. $2.80 worth the price for the tall cup! Dosirak was yummy but felt that it's overpriced. Probably higher overhead cost for the packaging. Food wise, good choices of ingredients but average portion.

Recommend this new Japanese Restaurant in Bugis - Senjyu! Here serves premium quality Japanese food. The golden roll is very savory with the tangy mango served. Plating is like an art piece! The Shake Mentaiko (not captured in pic) - serves with generous amount of Mentaiko. Chawamushi is great, big chunks of fillings were found within and ample amount of salmon roes. Food are dazzling surprising and above my expectations. Senjyu is a sister company of sakae sushi but service and food is definitely above and beyond sakae standard! What's best, currently there is a special promo of 50% off the menu. Original bill was supposed to be $108 but after discount bill amounted to $54. Will likely return again! Satisfied meal overpowered the moodiness today!

Korean Bingsu is the latest "IN' food in town and you can gradually see more of such cafes around. Having it 24/7, probably this is the only place! Moreover it is 3 storey high. Level 2 there is an shaved ice exhibition. Check this out! For pax of 4, 2 bowls of Bingsu were sufficient for us! After all this was our dessert after work and late dinner. We recommend the Signature Injeomi Bingsu! Milky shaved ice with peanut powder, almonds flakes and tiny sticky rice cake. The other bingsu we had was the black sesame Bingsu, premium bingsu. Instead of peanut powder it was served with black sesame powder, red bean paste and bigger sticky rice cake. The texture of the ice is relatively different from the ones I tried at other cafes. The ice here is finely grained like saw dust. Unexpectedly there were still many patrons after midnight. So prepare yourself to wait for seats and also wait for the dessert. We spent $33.80 for both desserts! Each pax $8.45 spent on 2 dessert. Still reasonable!

Smells like fresh tau huay. Best eat them chilled. Loves the silky texture of the beancurd. $9/box/8pcs for original Beancurd tarts!
Didn't managed to get the mixed ones. Next time can call 6337 2417 to reserve in advance! $10/box/8pcs for the mixed ones.

This is located at Wisma Level 4, next to Food Republic. It is one of the best affordable sushi bar you can find in Orchard! We went during post lunch period around 4.30pm. There was no crowd and we did not have to wait. Sadly Out of 3 sections, 2 sections were closed and customers have to share table. Probably the only thing I did not like. Shiok Maki is a must try here. There is 2 types - 1st Gen is with Eel and 2nd Gen is with deep fried ebi! Love the 2nd Gen Maki, the sauce is so savory which enhances the taste of the maki! Yummilious! Not being a fan of century egg I still randomly ordered the Pitan Tofu. The taste is not too century eggy (some may be like me hating the yolk taste, it's less of this taste) and it's acceptable for me. We order the premium sashimi set. 5 types of sashimi and loves the salmon belly. All in all, we spent abt $80 for 2 pax. Worth the try!

Of course this is incomparable to the real Thai Milk Tea ($2.80 for regular size) in Thailand. The Tom yum sandwich with chicken floss and egg ($3.50) is indeed worth trying!
