Not cheap...some cool items in the limited menu, e.g. cauliflower fritters
A little bit out of the way, smaller than expected, service wasn't great, good but limited menu and expensive.
Coffee was outstanding.
Cannot make reservations on Sundays.
Wow...I ate this in JB...didn't expect to eat this in JB one year later!
What can I say...shiok!
I'm a sucker for claypot, soup, pepper and pork...
So that's basically what this restaurant serves up!
2 kinds of soup - white pepper or black herbal. Herbal is more like gravy rather than soup
As for ingredients...try the Spanish iberico pork one first time u visit...after that can just order normal one.
As far as BKT goes...this is premium pricing man
Scruffy Murphy is the latest f&b venture of Muddy Murphy Holdings and they are taking their successful model into the neighborhood!
What's not to love?
-Prices are nett
-Local fare like curry chicken noodle (around $9), fish head curry, nasi lemak await, in addition to famous English pub grub
-Weekends are open from 830am so it's a place for breakfast and brunch, with family or other half, not just drinks at night w friends
-most importantly it screens sports including EPL (it is currently not affiliated to any football club unlike it's sister Penny Black that is home of Newcastle)
Had brunch here w a pint of French draft beer ($10).. definitely will be back!
Definitely the first time I hear/see/eat teochew siew mai. Shiok...feels like a more sumptuous siew mai!
Simple goodness :)
Uniquely simple...compared to the traditional/common yusheng
At $4.50 for small portion...I won't say it's super cheap especially since service and ambience is at the bare minimum no frills.
Go around 1115am to avoid the lunch crowd
CBD pricing for casual eats, but no complaints for $6/7...
Don't think I will be craving it anytime soon though, looks better than it tastes.
Chose the middle size, consider it very value for money.
Fat hums in each spoonful!
Uncle looks overworked and gaining on age :(
Better come eat soon before he retires...
Old school, traditional vibe!
$3 but very hearty!
Lighter in colour...maybe healthier?
Haha
Nonya flavour shouldn't be a thing...but as a sucker for laksa spices and fried chicken, I gave it a shot and surprised that I liked it! :D
Did you know that Chambers at Robertson Walk is one of the oldest pubs in Singapore? ~22 years to be exact!
Curiously, they have some Indian food on their menu besides the usual pub grub and Western main course.
Kebabs are very well presented and go well with your drinks!
