Fresh salads with lots of different ingredients. Packed with protein-rich seared tuna and soft-boiled eggs! Really interesting concept since they have different sauces at the counter so at some point my salad had 6 different dressings. Service was great but quite slow though. Waited about 15-20mins for my salad.
When llaollao's queue is too long... I think they were more generous with the fruit toppings ^^
Beautiful crust, fresh toppings! Yum!
$18.90++ per portion with 2 large prawns. It was difficult to peel perhaps due to long cooking time but still tasted juicy and fresh. However I felt that the rice was too wet and not fragrant enough, other than that all ingredients are fresh and well-cooked. I still like one at Turf City more!
Risotto is finally back in Pepperlunch!! $15.90 for a risotto set with a drink and salad. It was a creamy and cheesy risotto but not cooked with short grain risotto rice though. But it tasted good anyway, I mean, its rice mixed with loads of cheeeeese!
Chanced upon this cafe while shopping at Big Box. The concept is just like Ikea where you order and move down the production line with your food tray trolleys. This place actually has much more variety compared to Ikea and the food is actually quite decent! The salmon was well-cooked and flaky, the lamb stew and beef goulash were not too bad as well. The meat was tender and cooked with onions and shallots for sweetness. I felt that beef goulash had too much carbs (mash potato+bread). All sets ($8.50) comes with a main, salad/soup and dessert. I'm a student so only $6 for a main and salad Yay!! Salad veges were fresh and crunchy but desserts are soso. Refillable drinks at only $1. Worth revisiting for fast and wallet-friendly meals!
Relaxing at this awesome japanese cafe after lunch. Like Watanabe coffee, this place offers freshly brewed syphon coffee that is so aromatic and smooth! But unlike Watanabe coffee/Wa cafe, you can choose the kind of coffee beans you want for your syphon coffee. I chose the Brazil beans for $5 a cup. Sipping great coffee and people watching on a holiday.
Lunch after polling and I'm back here again! The soy sauce cold soba ($13) tasted more refreshing than the sesame cold soba I ordered previously. It wasn't too salty too!
I love this!! The beef steak slices are cooked perfectly, and because they are fatty, they are so juicy! The exterior is slightly blackened because it is charred to give the wonderful crust! The whole bowl came together so well after mixing the sous-vide egg to coat the beef and rice.
Extremely tender lamb shank, the meat comes off so easily from the bone. $28.50 for this huge lamb shank, sauteed cabbage and mushrooms sitting on top of smooth mash potato. The gravy was superb, red wine braised sweet sauce. Thumbs up!!
Super melt-in-the-mouth pork belly, slow cooked in delicious gravy. The set meals here are actually very value for money.
Doesn't look as appealing as the mentai salmon pasta but tasted real good! The eggplant was well caramelized so its sweet and soft but not mushy. It was tomato sauce base so the melted cheese went really well with the dish!
