This cod dish would have been my favorite if not for the super salty duck consommĆ© (it was more like dark soy). The fish on its own was delicate and there’s a surprise element of nori which was made to look like fish skin. I also enjoyed the ginger gel on the fish. It’s ok if you dip the fish in the sauce but it was swimming in it and I couldn’t rescue it. There’s potential in Subrosa, once they get past the teething issues. There’s this light sweetness to the vegetables and the creamy burrata is a perfect match with it. Inspired to grill some vegetable steak now!

I could do with more satays with the peanut sauce! Their chicken rice is also very good. More on www.ms-skinnyfat.com Link in bio!

Put together a mish-mash of snacks from da hood. Kuehs from Glory, soon kueh from č£, and CNY cookies from Home’s favorite. What’s your favorite tea time snack?

My favorites are their corned beef sandwich which includes local spices, and that fresh pandan kaya toast (which tasted like they squeezed the hell of each pandan leaf). šŸ˜

It’s rich and savory just as I expected it to be, but we underestimated the portion still (it’s good for 2 HUGE eaters, and we’re not). We managed to sneak in 2 starters and a dessert thanks to recommendations from our host Ryan (he’s fab). Gotta go back for the Beef Wellington next.

2 more mths till the first run is over and I’m already looking forward to the second run, this time with 3 female chefs! Anyway here are some of my favorite dishes by @abelslc in Jan. The artichoke, broccoli, and corn. More on www.ms-skinnyfat.com link in bio.

@microbakerykitchen has replaced @woodlandssd at Serene Centre. Great sweet bakes available (their dark chocolate zucchini loaf is šŸ˜). We found the hot food a little too sour though. Have not had a sour leek soup before and friends had upset stomachs after that. Hmm..

Buttery wagyu with battered fingers of foie gras drizzled with a black pepper sauce. The tangy cubes of vegetables helped to cut through all that richness. More on our recommended CNY dining on www.ms-skinnyfat.com Link in bio!

@violetoonsingapore’s version may cost $8 a slice but I wouldn’t mind paying for that luscious coconut custard that has a bright pandan flavor and a slab of smooth butter on the fluffy bread. @violetoonsingapore at Ion Orchard is now serving breakfast daily from 10-11.30am.

RED WHITE PINK food party was a success! Thanks @bing_leow for hosting and all the lovely contributions from @larvitar @therantingpanda @sgfoodonfoot @superadrianme @honeybeesweets.sg & @jazpster. The homemade dishes- Hakka mee tai mak and pineapple piglets were the best IMO! Also introduced to the fried Peng kueh and soon kueh from Bendemeer Market. Also couldn’t stop snacking on @roastparadise char Siew! And of course my usual favorite Bedok Interchange chwee kueh.

Grab your table or place that order if you like what you see! Here a super cute piglet from @fullertonhotel Jade restaurant. More on www.ms-skinnyfat.com link in bio.
