The Whisky Char Siew (S$12.80) features homemade wantons, char siew and sauce. Each wanton consists of fresh shrimps and minced pork that are encased in a light and chewy skin. The springy noodles are served with an aromatic homemade concoction of sambal belacan and in-house pickled green chilli for a sweet-sour kick.
Whisky Chips (S$5.80): The Butcher’s Kitchen’s homemade chips have been a hit amongst diners since its launch. The restaurant has now lightly drizzled the crunchy chips with whisky, giving it a smoky undertone.
As for the Whisky Steak (S$27.80), a beautiful cut of premium-quality black angus ribeye steak is used. Organic, free-range and grass-fed, the steak is aged for days, then infused with whisky before it is seared to perfection.
Besides the whisky series, The Butcher’s Kitchen has launched the Flaming Char Siew (S$10.80) which is another first of its kind in Singapore. A secret Chinese wine concoction has been added to the dish, which lends fragrance. The char siew is glazed with a sweet-savoury sauce and then torched to give it a mouth-watering, caramelised smoky finish.
If you prefer a non-alcoholic version, you can opt for the Aburi Char Siew (S$8.80). The meat is torched with no alcohol added.
PROMOTION: 50% off Flaming Char Siew
Mondays to Fridays between 10am to 3pm. Till 30 April 2019.

Some highlights from their menu are:
1) Double Boiled Si Shen Soup with Chicken and Rice (S$11.00): This soup is good for strengthening the spleen and digestive system and improving poor appetite.
2) Signature Superior Soup (S$9.50): Boiled for many hours, this tasty soup is overflowing with fresh ingredients like prawns, meatballs, fish slices etc. As a staple, diners can opt for noodle (Hor Fun, You Mian, Mee Pok or Bee Hoon), rice or porridge. This soup is one of my favourites at Lao Jiang and I am really pleased to know that refills are available at no extra cost.
3) Signature Red Grouper Soup (S$12.00): There is a generous portion of red grouper slices which taste really sweet and fresh. Diners can also opt for noodle (Hor Fun, You Mian, Mee Pok or Bee Hoon), rice and porridge.
4) Hor Fun: If you are a noodle lover, I recommend that you opt for hor fun to go with your soup order. The hor fun is ultra smooth with a springy bite and is definitely a must-order item for me here.
