Bubor Cha Cha & Peanut Paste Bubor Cha Cha is decent but the peanut paste is a little bit sweet. However, what drew our attention is the ambience that it provided. The neon lights and whimsical props makes the dining experience a picturesque memory. Not a bad experience overall.

D24 Durian Mousse That is a mousse with a lot of durian in it for a $6.50 dish, although we cant tell if it is legit D24 durian 😂 Note that there is another version with musang king that costs close to $10, but we decided not to get that in the end as we were not sure if the upgrade was worth the difference in taste between both dishes. Stall opens until very late at night (I.e., after midnight) so do visit this place after your supper fix in the Geylang area! Note that the queue becomes longer the later you visit the shop.

The Geylang area seems to be undergoing a new lease of life recently with the opening of several new F&B establishments such as Sweet Hut Dessert, a dessert cafe with both the interior aesthetics and, a menu of hot/cold desserts and snacks. The best part about this cafe? It’s closes at 4am daily, enough time to satisfy your midnight cravings or after-supper treats. A classic Chinese dessert at such a place is their Mango Sago ($4.80), something that will hardly go wrong, and a good sign when I can see the staff cutting up fresh mangoes at the back of counter. Great hangout spot Had dinner here recently and the food was amazing! The location was really convenient chill after a long day of work or during the weekends for a date. Cocktails were unique and fun as they had different explanations and even fire performance for my lantern cocktail. Prices were really worth as well. Highly recommend

Soju shots $1.50/shot Picture on the menu showed a Ferris wheel but we got a guitar instead. 😂 Perhaps they thought we were too cool. Totally gimmicky but we just got this for the laughs. The lights on it kind of went off after an hour or so - I think it went out of battery. The soju shots appeared to be full but we realised that the lychee in the shot glass took up half of the space inside it. It was still a nice sweet touch to it though. We enjoyed drinking from our colourful guitar, alternating the salty lokloks with the sweet soju and lychees. Finding the shop was a bit shady as a whiff of cigarette smoke overwhelmed me when I entered the mall, followed by some pretty girls in short dresses and high heels walking past me. The loklok shop itself was fine though - the dining area is in a dimly lit bar, with high chairs and all. There’re two screens in the bar where they play and screen karaoke songs. You can ask for the mic if you’re brave (or drunk) enough to sing in front of all the customers. At some point I think some of the staff were singing some Chinese songs. Good for groups With our group of 5, we were able to redeem 2 Burpple deals hence $10 off for 10 sticks! They also sold soju at $15 per bottle for 3 bottles, and have cute Ferris wheel shots for those that like to take photos. This place may be hard to find, and seemingly ulu, but we had a good time, the food was good and the atmosphere was chill.

Mentaiko Mac & Cheese Came here for the mentaiko Mac & cheese and it delivered. The Jamaican Chicken, Steak Frites and salted caramel bana waffle were great too. Free bread with butter and olive oil. Go for night menu

Corn fritters Poached eggs, grilled halloumi, spinach, tomato salsa, hummus, hollandaise. Okok, Abit oily, they have other better dishes.

Iberian Pork Rack Pork Rack, grilled baby cos, kipfler potato, bone marrow sauce. Meat is super soft, goes well with their sauce as well. Not salty.

Croffle With Gelato Crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside! Earl Grey ice-cream was not too sweet (which I liked) but I'd prefer if there was a stronger tea taste. Had the Hokkaido milk ice cream too which tasted mildly sweet and went well with the croffle. 🌟 3.5/5

Visited the newly opened dessert cafe in Tampines after dinner and it was furnished to a neon colour theme. Ordered the Homemade Waffle ($5) with a double scoop of Banana Walnut and Yubari Rock Melon ($9) but was disappointed with it. Firstly, the waffle was dry and had a hard texture but the saddest part was both the gelato. The former had minimal walnut bits in it that you will not even notice it is there and it had a very weak banana flavour, almost just taste of a milk gelato instead of banana walnut. Prosciutto E Rucola I ordered this Prosciutto E Rucola (S$30.00) through the Oddle Eats platform, and this was one of the more satisfying takeaway pizzas to date. The dough was to my liking: airy and not too dense, with a good balance of crustiness to every bite. It was very nice of them to have packed the arugula and shaved parmigiana separately so that the greens remained raw when served. Apart from the parma ham, another important element was the sauce tub of chilli oil that accompanied the pizza. I’m sure many would agree that one tub was barely enough to go with the pizza, because it could make the already-delicious pizza even more mouth-watering.

Tonnareli Nero 28++ One of the best I've had as of 7/7/21. This tiny portion costs 28++ so savour it slowly but damn the sauce was so full of crab essence. Can only imagine the hours that went into it. Must try! We had pizza and bread so this portion worked for the two of us(anything larger and we wouldn't have finished). Cicheti serves restaurant quality Italian at restaurant prices but at such an ulu place. Their food is fortunately a cut above the rest though so the prices are kind of justified

Chili Oil Off menu. Request for it to go with your pizza. It was uh-mazing. I'm really glad the chili is real, there's quite some heat so it isn't just oil. There's a distinct Asian influence, almost sort of a mild funk to it but the edge is taken away since it's only an infusion. Good to enjoy by dipping the crust in, esp for monsters that usually throw the crust away

Go to place for Frozen Yuzu Beer! Great frozen beer - thick layer of foam was almost like an ice-blend consistency. Happy hour promo of $26 for 2 glasses was pretty worth it. Yuzu recommended, lychee was quite strange. Skewers wise, we ordered the Set of 8 for $15 which was quite worth it and we were very satisfied with the taste. Pork Belly, pork ribs, chicken wings, potato slices were all good. Added on the Foil-wrapped enoki ($6.90) and we loved the garlic topping.

Takeaway Late Night Snack Shishamo and pork ribs were my fav & it’s not hard to guess why. Prawn-Wah were alittle too hard & dry. Mushrooms tend to get soggy if you’re taking away. Broccoli gets alittle mushy and oily the longer you delay. Recommend to eat fresh in-store unless you would like to avoid the BBQ smoke and loud crowd.

Even The Clams Were Good - The 𝙂𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙒𝙝𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙒𝙞𝙣𝙚 (~$35.90) had me soaking the garlic bread in the sharp white wine bisque, and my mom commenting she’d slurp it all up 😛 Ig @goodfomood

Steep Prices But So Good Patiently waited through the whole Cb to have this, and thankfully the 𝙁𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙪𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝘼𝙡 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙤 (~$32.90) is absolutely worth the wait. 🍝 - The crab meat chunks were huge and tender, generously blanketing the sheets of carbs. Burratina (150g for 2) & Bread This is like the MUST HAVE dish on every table!!!!! Bread was also served warm with a side pesto/olive oil dip. Combo was insanely appetising! I'm quite picky about my bread and cheese but these 2 simple dishes were done to perfection.

Burrata Pizza Bruno's Burrata Pizza is one of their new specials on the menu and it was so delicious! Due to the different ingredients on the pizza to go with the creamy burrata, there was a myriad of flavours that went well together along with the crust which was slightly crispy at the edges.

Satisfying Italian Fare Came here for the 1-for-1 three-course set lunch deal. We tried the salad, French onion soup, breaded prawn aglio olio, ravioli with Parma ham and tiramisu. The portion size was generous and all the food tasted pretty good.

Spicy vodka rigatoni ($35) 🍝 9/10 If you're an indecisive person like me, opt for this! The red pasta was giving me both tart and creamy. The spiciness wasn't overwhelming but complemented the al dente rigatoni. Overall a really amazing dish and I had a hard time deciding between choosing this and the cacio e Pepe as my favourite!

Cacio e Pepe ($35) 🍜 10/10 It's a wonder how the sauce was only made of cheese and pepper, and no heavy cream! The pasta was so decadent and creamy that I completely forgot what a simple dish this was. This dish inspired me to try making it myself but of course I came nowhere close.
