The Geylang area seems to be undergoing a new lease of life recently with the opening of several new F&B establishments such as Sweet Hut Dessert, a dessert cafe with both the interior aesthetics and, a menu of hot/cold desserts and snacks. The best part about this cafe? Itβs closes at 4am daily, enough time to satisfy your midnight cravings or after-supper treats.
A classic Chinese dessert at such a place is their Mango Sago ($4.80), something that will hardly go wrong, and a good sign when I can see the staff cutting up fresh mangoes at the back of counter. Another Chinese dessert that was recommended by @danielfooddiary is the Yam Paste with Pumpkin & Ginkgo ($5.80), which I prefer over the mango sago for its rich creamy texture and the sweetness from the pumpkin complemented the tartness from the yam paste.
