When I reached, I asked the guards for directions to Rage Coffee but they shook their hands and apologised. So I tried spelling rage... One of the guards lit up and asked excitingly if I meant 'ra-ge'. Such polite and adorable guards π
Cool place, with neon lights. Coffee was good! Iced Americano, up my alley. Isn't too sour and on first sip, I literally widened my eyes, took another sip and got started on the list of papers I'm suppose to review!

Pink thosai with yellow stripes, say what? π Say no more!
We were there early morning, already the corner lot was filled with chatters from groups of families and friends, eagerly tearing their roti apart.
Thosai rawa was crispy and flavourful from the spices and vege bits.
Beetroot egg thosai, star of our meal indeed! Fluffy, crispy on the outside, not disastrously oily, all sorts of yummy! None of the earthy taste we initially worried about.
We left the place with happy bellies and spring in every step we took.

Wasn't my first visit. The first time I was there, I had the whole sandwich with chicken and maple peanut sauce (if my memory didn't fail me) all by myself. No regrets and I'm glad I didn't share. The second time, I had company and shared this amazing sandwich stuffed with three eggs. Mmhhd. Only gripe? I had to share.
This place needs no further introduction! Not sure what was the reason it took me so long for popping by this little nook. The mentai rice was simple was stood out the most among all. Grilled squid was juicy with the right consistency, wasn't rubbery thank God. Only gripe was the price, perhaps? A little too steep. Others might disagree though.
Simple but every bite was so delightful, I didn't even pick up my phone for a second. That says a lot because I'm usually a solo diner and rely on my phone a lot to entertain myself when eating. Toast is just nice, chewy and slightly crisp. Scrambled egg was creamy and mmmhhh.
A must order whenever you go Viet for noms. Pho King definitely did it right. I've yet to try the 'real deal' in the country where it originated, if you may say so. But it's alright, till then, I'm happy with this!
Pho was oh-so good and hit all em' right spots! Almost finished the whole bowl of soup (on hindsight, what's wrong with finishing the soup, eh?) Porridge was a pleasant surprise. Actually gave my dad the side eye when he ordered that in a Vietnamese restaurant. But gotta eat my own words (or rather the porridge!)
It was a sweltering hot afternoon. Sun seemed so near, threatening to burn us alive. Sought for shelter at this little all white cafe which, seems to be a trend nowadays. Busy on a Sunday afternoon. Coffee wasn't to our liking, sadly. Price seems to be a little on the high side. Saving grace was the blasting a/c.
Arrived in Ipoh, late in the evening, with growling tummies. Perfect but a little too late for lunch and too early for dinner. Luckily this place was still open and there's taufoofah left! Love seeing the duo who are so friendly, greeting you with friendly smiles and ever obliging to requests! Great pre dinner fill me up! So good that we went the next day again and lady boss recognised us! Had a good laugh over it.
