Best army stew I’ve tried in SG!!! I’ve found myself coming back for their army stews several times and I will continue to recommend all my friends who love authentic Korean cuisine to give this a try :-)

Not sure what sauce constitutes the Rose Army Stew, but it tasted a lot creamier than their original army stew! Almost like carbonara flavour, but pls do take note that they offer Carbonara Army Stew as well.

Ingredients wise, pretty standard I’d say. Maggie, sweet potato noodles, lots of tteokbokki (they’re super generous with it!), a boiled egg, chicken chunks, some mandus, and some cabbage. We also added the cheese fall ($8.90) to go with it as we read good reviews about it. It was.. very cheesy as expected hahahaha it’s good and sinful when eaten hot but can be quite gelak towards the end.

Currently they don’t take in reservations so please do avoid peak hours when you do a walk-in :-)

Flavours: Earl Grey and Honey Chrysanthemum

First time at the cafe! It was super crowded on a weekday night, post-dinner timing. Not sure if you can make a reservation but they do have a waiting list :-)

The gelato was really creamy and satisfying. Both the flavours we tried were really strong too, especially the Honey Chrysanthemum. Really enjoyed it, if only they cut down on the honey/sugar level because I felt that it was a bit too sweet.

The cafe was rly quaint and super cute! They decorated the space with lots of vintage pieces. Super chill vibes, cosy ambience.

I’m a huge fan of orh nee desserts so of course I couldn’t give this a miss when we found it on the menu!

Texture wise, it is what I’m looking for in a good yam paste. Not too smooth like a flowing liquid so it’s really in a paste form. However, I think this loses out on the taste. Yam was fragrant but they could have added a bit more sugar to enhance the fragrance. I suppose the sweetness comes from the sweetened coconut milk which you can add yourself but I don’t like to add too much coconut milk as it becomes v gelak.

Overall, it was a good dessert, that wasn’t too sweet unless you add your own coconut milk 😬

Makes a good dessert! Waffle was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Warm waffles pair really well with the creamy vanilla ice cream, drizzled with espresso caramel sauce! The cacao nibs and espresso almond brittle add such a good bite to the dish :-)

Overall the place has rly good vibes! Open air, industrial concept. However, they attract rly long queues especially during the weekends so be sure to make a reservation!

Went for my usual å°č¾£ and this turned out to not be spicy at all.. so next time I’ll try äøč¾£! Mala was not too oily or salty, flavour was quite alright :-) choice of ingredients is good, and the price is affordable. Think I paid about $5 for this one-pax serving?

The dessert was mind-blowingly good... We were searching for a dessert place that opened till late in the area and I’m so glad we found this hidden gem!

The chocolate brownie/cake was so rich in flavours, and goes so well with the creamy vanilla ice cream. They added popping sugar candy for a super interesting mouthfeel, which made this dish so so unique!

We also tried Cassis Plum ($24) and we recommend that as well if you’d like a more unusual dessert flavour. Each mouth was a different surprise but all the different elements go so well together!

V crispy exterior! Satisfying side dish. Makes a great snack for drinks too :)

V comforting dish. Army stew is no stranger to people who are familiar with the Korean cuisine, and this dish tastes like any other army stews you can get (nothing special!)

We did notice that the choice of ingredients is interesting. It felt a bit more Chinese, as opposed to Korean. Maybe because they added Chinese mushrooms and lots of sausages.

3 of us shared this and we were v stuffed! We only ordered one other side dish and a bowl of rice to go long with this.

Always been a fan of their tang yuans! But this is my first time trying Red Bean and Matcha flavours because all the other flavours have been sold out by the time I patronize the stall (please go early! Before 7pm. To avoid any disappointment)

To my surprise, the red bean filling was pretty solid! Will start ordering this the next time :)

Matcha filling will be a delight to matcha lovers. Quite neutral with that, would prefer to stick with the more traditional flavours like peanut, black sesame, and red bean.

And may I add that the food is v affordable?? 3 for $2 and you to choose between peanut soup, ginger soup and red date/longan soup!

One of our favourites from Woodlands BBQ Fish! #01-58 at Marsiling Mall Hawker Centre

Meat is fresh and cooked really well. The pairing with their sambal sauce makes the dish so addictive!

A vegetable dish that goes really well with all your other seafood :-)

From Woodlands BBQ Fish, located at #01-58 in Marsiling Mall Hawker Centre!

We’ve been regulars of theirs for a few years, even before they relocated from the Checkpoint :-) they are v consistent with their food quality and prices!

Sambal stingray served on a hotplate and lots of the spicy yet satisfying sambal sauce and onion slices. Price varies, depend on the size of the fish you pick. You can tell that the fish meat is vvv fresh and cooked well :-)
