Coffee was meh :( for $4.80, really expected better quality. Could skip their coffee and go for their other drinks!

White Kitchen offers a wide variety of casual western/fusion dishes at rather affordable prices. You can choose from your traditional western mains, risottos and pasta, or customise your own ramen bowl.

Went for the Truffle Mushroom Risotto and first impression was delightful. They’re very generous with the truffle oil which makes the dish v fragrant. The cheese shavings pair well with the truffle taste. Comes with a generous amount of mushroom too.

However, the dish got vvv gelak towards the end as the taste is rather one-dimensional. Tried my best but I could not finish it despite being hungry when I ordered it :( I’d say it’s good to share this with someone else as the serving size is huge

Vadai or Vada is like a savoury fried Indian snack. Often served as a breakfast item which is why we decided to get it alongside our egg appams.

Please request for the green chili from the stall owner! It tasted soooo good with the green chili. I was pleasantly surprised even though I can’t take much spice.

It was my first time trying Egg Appam, which is a South Indian pancake dish, and it made for a good and hearty breakfast. It has a perfect sunny side up in the middle, and served with orange coconut sugar which goes very well with the savoury notes!

This place is quite a walk away from Little India MRT station but heard it’s v popular amongst the locals and foreigners :)

This has gotta be one of the best seafood soups we’ve tried in Singapore (hawker style) :-) although the price point can be quite high, it’s super worth it because of how thick and robust the broth is! It comes with a very generous amount of ingredients (sometimes more than what they give you for soup) and they’re fresh. Waiting time can be quite long so please only order if you can wait (20-30 minutes).

Their pig’s trotter dish is not bad as well! Cooked very well and the meat is fall-off-the-bone kind

This is one of my favourite dishes from this vegetarian stall located in Marsiling Mall Hawker Centre! It’s owned by a lovely couple who are very friendly and generous :)

Curry is quite spicy so it goes very well with the pineapple and cucumber chunks which are supposed to add a refreshing crunch to the dish! Mock chicken meat texture is great as well, soaks up all the curry sauce.

They offer a plethora of different dishes, ranging from rice/noodle dishes, to tzi char style dishes!

We ordered this expecting it to be served in a bowl form (like a dessert to be shared) but this drink was a pleasant surprise!

It was super refreshing, and has a good mix of red bean and milk. Highly recommended to all the red bean lovers :)

This was their signature beef noodles, which you can opt for the soup or dry version. The beef taste is quite strong, so people who don’t have a strong liking for beef, please take note! Think they also cooked the broth with lots of herbs so you can taste that as well.

Very generous with their beef cubes, which were quite a good bite. Noodles are thick and qq. Soup is already slightly spicy but it tastes better if you pair it with their chili (request from them)!

The dish is very simple – thick QQ noodles, beansprouts, carrot, cucumber, and a spoonful of well-marinated minced meat! The sauce doesn’t seem much but it’s actually q salty so just a small amount is sufficient to coat the whole bowl of noodles. We realized that the serving size for their noodles is much bigger than their rice dishes. Almost couldn’t finish this!

排骨蛋盖饭 $9.80++

Serving size was quite small so it can be easily finished by one pax. Pork ribs were quite soft and fall-off-the-bone kinda texture. From the colour you’d expect the sauce to be thick and savoury, but it’s actually on the bland side. Eggs were cooked well and paired well with the pork ribs and rice!

Tastes similar to the real deal despite it being vegetarian/vegan! Daehwa is pretty awesome for offering a wide range of vegetarian-friendly Korean dishes, at really affordable prices.

Their army stew comes with the classic instant noodles, mock sausages and luncheon meat, enoki mushroom, rice cakes, kimchi, and a bowl of purple rice. Just the right amount of spice, for you to slurp and enjoy. Highly recommended!

Besides, the restaurant also serves you really good banchan (Korean side dishes). Please try the sweet potato!

Or it might even be vegan! Daehwa serves a plethora of vegetarian Korean dishes which taste pretty similar to the real deal. Just like the kimchi pancake over here :)

Conveniently located right beside one-north MRT station. Restaurant has a nice, cosy ambience. Dishes are affordable and serving size is quite generous. Heard that the restaurant also employs workers with special needs so that is really nice!
