It's one of the iconic places for supper in Singapore. Opened 24 hours daily, Meng Kitchen is the place to get your bak chor mee fix. We love it doused in vinegar together with the soup.
We also recommend the side of fish cake. Be patient and don't expect fantastic service as this place gets hectic at times.
Lam's Noodles has one of the better minced pork noodles around. The stall in Sin Ming isn't from the popular Lam's franchise but a true relative of the original Ah Lam (阿南).
They're generous with the number of ingredients they put in each bowl. The fish balls are pleasantly bouncy and chewy while the pork is tender.
Chili crab cheese fries? Sounds perfect to us. Sri Lankan crab infused with chili, melted cheddar and scallions. Pair this with wine during Loof's Happy Hours (Monday - Friday, 5 - 8pm) and you're good to go.
But his mood not really good, or he is engrossed in frying. The Chilli is power.

If you like fish belly porridge and work near Amoy Street Food Centre this is where you get real value for money porridge. My bowl had 5 huge slices of fish belly and it's only $4. Really tasty too.
Like smooth and creamy porridge with bowl full of ingredients at $3 a bowl? This is the place for you. The only catch is you have to be here on Mondays to Fridays 5.30 am to 8.30 am! But it's really worth it if you love porridge.
