Made by chefs who spent most of their lives from Thailand. It's a decent plate of authentic Pad Thai at $7.90.
This place completely changed the experience of eating oysters for me. So I usually get my oyster fix during hotel buffets and I thought that the taste would be somewhat similar but woah... completely different ballgame.
The oysters in hotel usually taste more smooth. Thai oysters have more of a chewy mouthfeel and the taste of the seawater is also different (in a good way).
The way of eating Thai oysters - thai chilli sauce, chilli paste and fried shallots also gave it an extra spicy kick and crunch, so I truly enjoyed my experience eating the Southern Thai Oysters here.
Prices range from $17.90nett - $203.90nett (depending on the number of pieces), but per piece will cost about $8+.
This bowl is good enough for 2 pax, or 1 pax if you really love Tom Yum Soup like I do. The prawn is fresh, tender and fleshy. Most importantly, it is easy to peel (not crumbly, which means fresh - yay!)
The coconut taste is also strong and the soup tasted richer than the ones I usually have outside. If you are someone that like rich Tom Yum flavour soups and fresh prawns - this is the dish for you (like it was for me).
A bowl of huge soup cost $10.90, worth every cent because for the large portion and good quality prawns.
This dish is a treat to my eyes as well as to my tummy. The visuals are too pretty & no colourings is used to make the pink, green and blue you see in this photo. (Made with strawberry, pandan and butterfly tea leaves - so yay, bonus points for health!)
The mango is sweet, the coconut milk is not over empowering and the sticky rice is best eaten when fresh out of the kitchen.
You can get this rainbow coloured Mango Sticky Rice at $7.90!
Deep fried ice cream isnt a new thing but it is uncommonly found in SG. Spoke to the owner & he told me it takes 1 entire day to prep the batter for the ice cream.
Defintely a bucketlist item to try this at least once in your life. With chocolate sauce drizzle, strawberries and that unicorn rainbow sprinkles - what is there not to love about this?
Oh yes, the best part - it cost only $7.90. 😻
Qi Philosophy is a health & wellness cafe at Queenstown that serves healthy dishes, with various vegan and vegeterian options. Im holding on to Qi Buddha Bowl, which consist of handmade chickpea falafal, avocodo, beetroot hummus & more! (Sounds super healthy right?)
They are also working together with @muuse.io to save the earth by using recyclable tabao boxes & cups (and you get to save $0.20 from the usual takeaway fee too!!) Really great intiative. 🥰
They serve food made with healthier ingredients. (E.g. rice is replaced with basamati rice which is lower in GI. Salad contains purple cabbage which is good for your diet & health)
Most food are below $15, hence really worth it. I felt lighter after dining here (usually after meals I would feel super heavy) so I recommend those whom are looking for a healthier choice to visit Qi Philosophy!
Rong Ma The Curry Rice Stall offers a unique menu featuring a Peranakan blend of Chinese and Malay dishes made from the recipe passed down by the founder's late grandmother.
Prepared from scratch using fresh ingredients, every dish in the menu is bound to satisfy your taste buds.
Located at Timbre+ along Ayer Rajah Crescent and just a few minutes away from one-north MRT Station, Rong Ma The Curry Rice Stall is a great place for one looking for authentic taste of local flavours at super affordable prices (less than $8 can get you many ingredients!) I tried their Ayam Bawang Kunyit and Ikan Sambal Balado (not forgetting the curry of course!) and it was unforgettable. The sambal balado chilli was pounded finely, and the taste of everything just blended so well together, held together by the hot and comforting curry ❤
Chocolate lovers rejoice!
With 5 layers of soft & moist chocolate sponge cake with dark chocolate filled in between, covered by a thick layer of hard dark chcoolate, and finishing it beautifully with chocolate crumbles on the top, this is the answer to all chocolate lovers troubles!
The atmosphere is relaxing with acoustic music and endless cafe background chatter. The service was great because the lady at the counter asked me if I want some water while I was halfway through the cake. ( their glass for water looks amazing too ).
In conclusion, great atmosphere, great service & great cakes!
