Long before kaya toast bread is this steamed bread. Now that’s the kaya butter or kaya peanut steamed bread. The sweet smell of steaming bread will hit your nostrils the moment the steamer is brought in front of you. The steaming hot bread is fluffy and tasty. Try it if you haven’t. It’s different from the toast bread.

Love the Nasi lemak here cos it uses basmati rice. It’s a long grain rice that’s not sticky. I love choosing my own ingredients as the stall has very well fried crispy ikan bilis and good sized ikan kuning. The chilli is not overly sweet but spicy. The banana fritter is my dessert and it’s usually sold out fast.

Definitely the stall to try if you’re a fishballs lover. Has the crunchy fishballs as big as table tennis balls. Well done noodle that’s al dente to the bite and very tasty.

This Omakase course consists of 16 small dishes and every one is delicious to taste and pleasing to the eye. Very fresh fishes and good combination of sauces for each dish. Chef Tsuzuki really knows how to please the customers.

Inside Every, a Japanese mini mart is a cafe that sells good Japanese styled western food like this beef and chips. Tender beef and good sized chips.

Compare to the new style yong tau foo which you pick and choose the yong tau foo items, the items are floating in a cauldron and you have not much choices. However the items are well made and very tasty. The chilli and sweet sauces are the old school type which matches the yong tau foo well.

This is definitely the noodle stall to try if you like Teochew styled minced meat fishballs noodle. The queue is always there and can be as long as 10 pax or more. Noodle is well mixed with vinegar, chilli sauce and pork lard bits. The noodle is QQ not overly cooked and easily separated. For $4 you get a soup bowl full of fishballs, fish cake slices, minced meat, a fish dumpling and a meat ball. Not only tasty but also value for money. Yummy! Pity the owners are getting on age and likely to retire without a continuation from the next generation.

These fishballs are table spoon size and made with minced meat and chilli pieces. The fishballs are firm and tasty. Mee was well mixed and the chilli sauce seems to be done with sambal chilli sauce and garlic. Overall it’s worth the $4. Yummy

Loved this chicken hotpot and was back again to see there’s any drop. None at all. The chicken collagen stock is just as strong and smooth. Chicken is well tender and juicy. Love all the fresh vegetables put in to add more flavour. If you have try this then go queue and see what’s an excellent chicken stock soup is really like. There’re other dishes to try too.

When this dish was presented it just looked like a pie or something like that. Then after we dug in and eat it we were very pleasantly surprised. It’s string (julienne) potatoes that looks like noodles. The spicy mentaiko added the flavour and overall we each said we can have it as a carbo dish. Very yummy.

This chap chye or mixed vegetables Nyonya styled is very different from others. It has all the ingredients of a Nyonya mixed vegetables plus fish balls, fried fish cakes etc making it a great dish. Love it.
