My family used to order from Temptations about 30 years ago in the 80s. Those who live in the East would know of this old gem. A space small enough to place an order and out you go. The Burpple 1-1 for desserts is something very new recently during this third lockdown. I took the opportunity to order their scones instead of sliced cakes. Value for money at $4 for 8 scones, you can choose 3 different flavours! Enjoy!
Bought the 1-1 pizza (10 inch/6 slices)for a picnic. Chose the American Salami and Hawaiian. This size is considered the smallest and costs $17.90 for one. I ordered additional nuggets and honey wings. With 5 pax for picnic, on average 1 pax ate 2 pizza slices, 2 nuggets and 2 wings. The portion is just right and so is the total cost of $37. The pizza though not oven baked were freshly baked when we placed our order. Not thin crust but comparable with Pizza Hut. The restaurant seems empty without sit-in diners. However, during the 15 mins wait, I saw a number of people there for takeaways. The promo without Burpple is 50% off 2nd pizza. Still a good deal, go support this local business if you can. Note that the carpark at Rock Wall is closed. Park at NTUC side and it’s not too far a walk from there.
This offer is way too good. Back here for 2 + 2 using Burpple Beyond and I chose 2 @ $8.50 and 2 @ $8.00. The total cost is $17 for 4. They even provided a greeting card and candle for birthday, and tying up the box with a pretty red ribbon. Opening hours are 12pm to 830pm. Go there early as the previous time I went at 8 plus, they were closed.
The 1-1 had a separate menu from the main list. It was a scaled down version. I could only buy the M size as they ran out of cups. The sales there is very slow especially now that we are P2HA and maybe that’s why they did not indent the cups. They are situated on Level 3, go support them as their tea is good quality from Taiwan. Although a lesser known brand, the prices are quite similar to the bigger players. I paid $5.80 and because of Burpple Beyond could choose the Oolong Pudding for the second cup. It’s my 4th time purchasing from them :)
This is a cloud kitchen with Heybo and Saladstop. If only the Burpple 1-1 extends to the other two too, so that we have a variety to choose from. First time trying and good value for money. Truly enjoyed the yummyness! Bought bowl for lunch and kept roll for dinner. Great choice of 3 fillers and 2 toppings. Wanted to add-on tempura ebi at the side but they said not possible because can’t have two promo in one bill. What a waste! Will be back for more next time. Total bill = $8.90 + salmon sashimi (additional $2.50). Note : On normal days, there’s no dine-in too. The benches outside are mainly for riders to pick up their takeaways.
My first time trying and although the size is relatively small, it’s quite rich in taste. I bought the Lychee Martini 1-1 at $12.90 and totally no regrets. Will be back to try other flavours too. Unfortunately, the durian is not on the 1-1 list.
This small bowl plus a cute bottle of cold tea is $10. The portion is just nice as this was our dessert. With the Burpple Beyond app it is definitely worth it for 2 sets. They use the Thermomix machine for their Acai, which is impressive. However, as there’s only one server, we had to wait for our turn to be served (about 10 mins) and there was no buzzer to alert us. Although it’s located at the front of the entrance in a little corner, you won’t really notice its presence. But we see a steady stream of teenagers coming to buy. Even the cleaning lady commented that she she likes it when she sees us eating it.
This new gelato place took over the former OCD. Business was brisk, with customers walking in every 15mins on a Thursday night. Used 1-1 to get Coffee and Waffle free. We topped up 2 scoops of ice cream, added 1 cup of gelato and a pot of tea. Total cost = $31.50 and also received a number of stamps for future visits. Seldom people drink beer with waffles, but they were selling it, not sure why especially now that no drinking is allowed after 1030pm. Wished the teapot could have been larger and lighter.
I believe they closed the Downtown East Branch and opened this at Tampines Mart last year. It provides a whole new vibrancy to the neighbourhood as there’s an ice cream waffle counter and sit-down area too. Ordered Mint Chocolate and Roasted Sencha under the 1-1 (Milk) Burpple App. Wide range of toppings so I added honey konjac for an additional $1 with the total bill coming up to $6.40. Will be great if opening hours are longer on weekends.
This chicken burger costs $14. It’s not massively big but it’s tall! We were sharing this and another chicken dish amongst three of us but the kitchen couldn’t help to cut it as they said as I’d it was messy. Although not beef, but the burger was tasty. There was a queue during lunchtime. So go early to order as the place seemed to be manned by only one kitchen staff and one counter staff. Use the 1-1, super worth it as you can choose another coffee (about $5.50) for free too!
5 selection for 1-1 menu. When we arrived, the ginger fried chicken drumstick ($5) was just ready. We decided to try the chicken wing set as we prefer chicken wing ($4). The owner was friendly and overheard him not charging another customer $0.30 for takeaway as the guy didn’t have small change. He merely said, come back more often. The lemak rice was great and piping hot. The chicken wing was 3 pieces instead of 2, served alongside one egg, ikan bilis nuts and achar. Great value for money and it seemed the most popular breakfast stall in this coffeeshop. If you are not living in Punggol, it’s a maze finding the coffeeshop after you parked your car. Will definitely be back to support.
This seems like a popular authentic Taiwan joint as there was a Q during dinner. Ordered the recommended dishes of braised pork noodles and dried intestine vermicelli for 1-1. Unfortunately 1-1 can’t be used on the beef noodles. The XO Chili is great and the vermicelli is just right and not too heavy. Can add-in vinegar too! The braised pork came with two meatballs and pickled veg. Both bowls are big yet we finished all. Total bill $11.65 is equivalent to food court price. Will go again and maybe try the toast or rice set in future. Didn’t order their BBT cuz we had our own drinks.
