Gonna be feasting and shooting up caffeine non-stop the next few days :)
I'm so in love with the sea salt butterscotch ice cream topped off with the caramelized almonds.
The Orient is the chef's modern take on a moon cake - salted egg crémeux, lotus seed mousse, coconut cake - with a layer of salted peanut sesame praline.
Wish the chicken was crispier and there was ikan bilis to create more texture. Otherwise, it's not too bad. Will pass on the Bandung mcfizz though.
I like the South Beach outlet - tranquille with a view.
The prawns were really good; better than those at Kohaku and Itsuki but I thought the rice and tendon sauce could have been better.
Essentially an elevated take on the Hokkien Mee, the umami of the Konbu & Sakura Ebi and the richness of the fried pork lard really packed a punch. So did the bill though.
The one seafood I ate most during my recent trip (except possibly fish). Easily my fav shellfish as well with flesh sweeter than prawns or lobster.
