We also ordered the unique ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ ($7.30); thumbs up for the latte art too. With a relatively strong body and smooth finish, it was excellent.
The ๐๐ฟ๐๐ป๐ฐ๐ต ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ piqued our interest. Nestled within the tortilla shells were scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese and tomato salsa, brought together harmoniously by the chipotle honey aioli. The tacos tasted sensational, but $15 for two pieces was rather steep.
The ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐น๐น๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฐ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ป ๐ฅ๐ผ๐๐๐ถ ($19) caught our attention. The masterfully marinated chicken thigh was perfectly executed and surprisingly went well with the side of mashed avocado. The rosti, however, wasnโt crispy enough for our liking.
Popped by 6 Letter Coffee, a cosy garden-themed cafe along Tanjong Katong Road. Despite it being way past lunch time, the cafe was packed.
The menu is relatively extensive with food options thatย are considerably more affordable than the usual hipster cafe. A plus point is that it's GST and service charge free. With a love for good rosti, I had the 6 Letter Brunch ($21) that came with a crispy rรถsti, smoked salmon, sunny-side up egg,ย shiitakeย mushrooms, mashed avocado, mixed salad, and fresh fruit. The rรถsti was seasoned with pepper and had a nice crisp. It's a good rรถsti though it lacked the buttery flavour and crispy texture of a perfect rรถsti, and it pulled apart too easily. I wished it was served with a dollop of sour cream although I liked the mashed avocado that substituted it
The Honey White Cold Brew ($7.30) was smooth, not too creamy and naturally sweetened from the honey. I liked that it was only slightly sweetened which allowed the chocolate undertones of the coffee to come through.
