Cheesecake - $7
·
Solid cheesecake that’s rather mild in taste, allowing you to discover the hint of citrus. Comes with a very thin and moist base with a touch of spice. Definitely not your usual cheesecake, but sadly whisk has closed down since mid nov. Maybe you can try baking it at home mimicking those unique flavours

Really wanted to like and support this place cause they’re always so empty but I’m sad to say that this wasn’t good :(
The set is comes with a soup + salad + sandwich + drink. The french onion soup and iced lemon tea were pretty standard, not good but not terrible. The salad was a few of leaves topped with a ready-made sauce squeeze from a tube. But the sandwich though - baguette that was likely to be frozen and thawed in the fridge (it wasn’t even reheated) and 2 slices of super dry roast beef. :( wish cafes would take more pride in the food they served!!
Throwback to my lovely cup of coffee at @whiskcafesg

My manager doesn’t eat cake, so when she enthusiastically recommended the cakes at Whisk, I had extremely high hopes. It was hard to make a choice, but I decided to go with the Strawberry Shortcake ($6.50).
The cake was very light and more-ish. The cream was great and went well with the strawberries. But since this was pricier than my lunch opposite Whisk, it felt rather expensive. (EDIT: I had lunch at the hawker center, so going from that to a cafe made the cakes feel expensive. But I was talking about it to some friends and I realised that $6.50 for a slice of cake of that size and quality is in-line with other cafes, so it’s not like it’s an exorbitant price)
I also managed to sneak a bite of the cheesecake. The cheesecake is very, very dense and the crust doesn’t have as much flavour as I would like, so this isn’t for me.
Overall, I would be interested in coming here again, since I would like to try the cookies, eclairs, and scones too.
As I was around the area, I couldn't resist peeking through and decided to pop in. Tried their Cafe Latte and their Bostock ($8/set). Latte was good and the Bostock was a cross between breakfast and dessert 👍
