Inside was somewhat fluffy actl, on top of sticky as usual. But the exterior, while crunchy, sticks to your teeth a lot.

Honestly I'm thinking would basmati rice outside work better? Won't be as sticky, and Japanese rice inside would hold the basmati rice in place outside

We had a good time here, it's very authentic w the Japanese style rooms on the higher floor, plus the service staff here were very cute and nice and willing to explain to us as best as they can

But if you're just here for the food, two stores down is by the same boss, and they serve both yakitori and chicken soup oden. The waitress admited to us that the food at the other one is slightly better, and the Google rating is also significantly better

Quite meaty, no chew no bounce, which is quite unique for heart. And quite smokey

Kyoto's matcha is famous and this was expectedly very good, with the matcha having slight bitterness.

I'm surprised though that Singapore's matcha is of considerable standard, the matcha cafes in Singapore do import high quality stuff it seems

The Japan version of creme Catalans is ice cream that is bruleed.

Nicely bruleed w good sugar crust and smokiness, ice cream was icy but flavour was fine

Again, but here you can see it looks completely different, when the grill is still clean and so this is better caramelised
