The mushroom filling in the tortellini was nondescript, and I thought pairing it with a tomato-based sauce along with mussels was odd. On the whole, the dish was unoffensive but entirely forgettable.

The only difference between this and the Margherita are the fresh basil and tomato slices. An acceptable pie, but nothing more. The neighbourhood pizza delivery does better pizza than this.

Fresh seafood, well grilled, is one of life’s simple pleasures. The flesh of the Dorado fish flaked off easily and was delicately sweet as well as tender. This was the catch of the day for us at approximately 21 SGD.

Generously portioned, the pasta was fairly swimming in tiny but sweet prawns from the colder waters of the Baltic Sea. If anything, the garlic could have come through stronger, but I still enjoyed it.

Nothing beats a well-fried seafood platter. Our bounty of the ocean included shrimp, prawn, baby mussels and some of the best calamari fritti I’ve had, all lightly battered and fried to crisp perfection and finely dusted in grated parmesan, something I haven’t seen before with fried seafood, but will definitely have again from now on.
