Back here for my favorite morning bun. Which is like the flakiest pastry you know w notes of cinnamon and orange. (It’s almost like a better kouign amann, seriously what’s the hype abt it?!) and finally got to try the quiche I was eyeing on since 2 years ago. 😛 .
🍴
Quiche had a perfect egg custard w ham and cheese and the slightly flaky crust 😋
Sandwich was surprisingly good as well. Got the spicy turkey hot sandwich. It was rustic bread with a broccoli spread and gruyere cheese with turkey ham in between. 🤤 The pickled carrots were a good palate cleanser too. .
🍴
Note to all if you’re getting coffee, Rmb to stick around the coffee counter or you will get a grumpy barista sending you your almost foamless coffee. (In my defense, the last time I came I was sitting indoors so I didn’t know. The counter girl didn’t tell me...🤷🏻♀️) .
🍴
Another tip is enjoy a slow stroll to Mission Delores Park after brunch to enjoy the weather. Or have a short walk to Bi-rite creamery / Smitten Creamery(whichever is your poison) for ice cream. .

Ordered the legendary morning bun (usd 4.25). Although this bun does not look half as pretty as the other pastry in the shop, its taste is heavenly!! Finely coated with sugar on the outside and soft warm bun on the inside is infused with cinnamon and orange zest! The bun is rather big, recommend sharing with a Friend. Xoxo, wet tissue no have
PS: tabao-ed it back. It doesn't taste nice when cold. Please heat up if packing back!
Ordered the 4" lemon cream tarts (usd 7.25). Perfect to go with coffee. Be warned that the lemon cream is Super sour but it goes perfect with coffee! Xoxo, wet tissue no have
Warning: the queue outside Tartine is nonstop. We queued for 20mins at noon.
So so smooth and yet nicely tart and pretty . BSB, I think I found you one competition.
One of the most popular item here is morning bun. It's somewhat like a cinnamon roll but made of flaky croissant pastry and not as cloyingly sweet.the exterior is crispy and the part that protrudes out has a slightly chewy texture and has hints of citrus plus cinnamon. It's really v good! They have quiche and tarts here too that I would have ordered if I have 2 stomachs.
Truly worth he journey out and the long queues.
