I had these in Hong Kong when they were fresh out of the oven - which was, as you can imagine, divine. The ones here in Singapore still taste good even after being refrigerated, which is a feat in itself. Their tart crust is biscuity and buttery, and their egg custard bouncy and silky. A quick and affordable treat.

I last had this in the Holland village outlet a few years back and liked it a lot but this was a far cry from the one I had then. The chicken chop was too salty and the eggs were bland too.
The filling was a bit dry but there’s a nice crunch from all the grated coconut. It’s not overly sweet too which was good. Overall, better than I expected and in fact, I think it tastes better than their original egg tart.
