Homely Taiwan Porridge We have Taiwan Porridge quite regularly and Guzaoren is really one of the best places for Taiwan Porridge in Singapore. Its menu is unpretentious, wholesome, diverse and yet traditional too. Every dish is cooked to order. Instead of the usual minced meat patty and omelette dishes we always order, we tried the black pepper beef for a change. It was satisfyingly good!

Har Cheong Gai Wah damn good. But maybe it's just freshly fried.

XO Sauce Mee Pok It's a signature but it's underwhelming. The dryness of the noodles was difficult for the supposed star sauce to shine. Also, it only tasted spicy, and if that's the sauce, then sorry no.

Crab Ee-fu Mee Very wet and good amount of crabmeat. Plus it has the ee-fu flavour I love.

One of the best prawn noodles in sg Went to zhup zhup for dinner and had one of the best prawn noodles i ever had, ordered the highly recommended supreme prawn noodles and claypot Hokkien mee, noodles were cooked to perfection and the chilli that goes with the dry noodles were so good, the hokkien mee had a good amount of wokhey and together with the prawn broth was amazing! Will definitely go back!

best prawn noods in sg! I ordered the claypot Hokkien mee, the supreme prawn noodles, and the tasting platter. For drinks, I chose the sour plum and water chestnut drinks. Every dish was really delicious and full of flavor. I could really taste the effort and quality in each bite. The portion sizes were also very generous, and I felt really full and satisfied after the meal. It definitely felt worth the money. As for the drinks, they were both super refreshing and had just the right amount of sweetness not too sweet, which I liked a lot. Overall, it was a great meal and a very enjoyable experience.

Satisfying Prawn Noodles Everything was cooked to perfection and served hot. The flavours are bold, and it’s clear a lot of thought goes into the preparation. Definitely a spot we’ll return to.

Braised Pork Belly With Preserved Vegetable Rice A dish anyhow put together. The lean meat was damn tough and dry. Nothing like the one I had at the Kembangan outlet. But the fats were thick and melt-in-your-mouth.

Taiwan Porridge For 6 Pax $77 including a medium size pomfret fried with black bean sauce. If not for the heat conditions at ABC food Centre, we would come more often! Everything fresh and hot. A good choice for casual porridge if you like the sweet potato kind. Served up fast. 70 cents for unlimited porridge. Their lor is also pretty tasty!

Yong Tou Foo with Yam Rice The set came with stuffed beancurd, bittergourd, tofu puff and a very delicious and bouncy prawn and pork ball. Super yummy!!

Wanton Mee - $3 A surprise find while trying out Hokkien Man Hokkien Mee. This is a bowl of wanton mee that got everything right. I prefer egg noodle over mee kia, but this noodle has a great texture that is springy and chewy. Char siew is tender and fried wanton is crispy. The boiled wanton is delicious too

Braised Fish Instant Noodle From a new 黄焖鸡 stall. There's a wide selection of things you can braise and I picked fish. It's extremely simple, just fish, noodle and gravy. The flavour was richer than I expected and the fish was chunky and fresh.
