Vegetable Garbure Soup Their new ala carte buffet. I had forgotten such a soup exists and I really liked it. The chicken-based broth was flavourful. My other thought is French cuisine is very rich to be buffet, and I couldn't eat as much as I wanted!

Very interesting fusion food! Been a long time since I've eaten at this restaurant, and the quality is still pretty good! Here are the dishes I've tried: 1️⃣ C&C&C&C&C Pasta ($25.90 for main size) - yes their pasta name is interesting, but basically its filled with ingredients starting with C. This cold dish boasts of creamy seafood flavours coming from the crabmeat and lobster bisque! Pretty decent dish that is worth a try. 2️⃣ "Hainanese" Pork Tomahawk ($32.90) - I was surprised how meaty yet tender the pork cutlet was! The sauce that it's drenched in definitely reminds me of Hainanese chicken rice chilli, and the addition of fruit jam definitely made it interesting. It does not get too surfeiting because of that! However, there is still a slight pork smell that some may not like. 3️⃣ Waffles & Roe ($9) - an interesting dish, with deep earthy flavours coming from the waffles and seafood savoury punch from the ikura roe. This is a mix of sweet and savoury flavours that will open up your palette! With their menu changing every 4 months, you can see the innovative elements in their dishes. Will be back to try more dishes next time!

Duck confit Cooked to perfection. Tender, tasty, and good ambience. Had one for one aperol spiritz!

duck leg confit prices considered affordable for french food. but taste not there not impressed with the escargots. even Saizeriya ones are better. desserts very so-so.

Eggs Benedict Started 2024 with a promise to wake up early for breakfast every Sundays/PB holidays. No more lunch time sunday wake ups for this guy here. And eggs benedicts was of coz the most Atas of all breakfast to reward myself for waking up at 6am on New Year's day. Extra reward for waking up when it's raining too. Custard Chou Chou Basically an awesome Custard filled donut. They have a variety of French pastries here, and all look damn awesome. The chou chou is Sinful and a must have here at choupinette. Which are basically donuts.

3-Course Dinner \\ Escargot Clean, tender and juicy escargot cooked in garlic parsley butter then served warm. The garlicky sauce is almost as delicious as the escargot themselves! \\ Chicken Fricassee Pieces of chicken meat braised at low temperature with white cream sauce. Served with a side of potato gratin and salad. The chicken was breast meat hence they are a little tough in texture but the light and creamy sauce sort of compensates for the dryness. The rich and creamy potato gratin was good and I wished it came in a slightly bigger share. \\ Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream Warm and nutty chocolate brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This dessert fell short of expectations. The size of the brownie is quite small in comparison with the scoop of ice cream. The ice cream was icier and lacks a creamy texture. Thanks to Burpple Beyond, we get to enjoy 2 sets of $70 3-Course Dinner Menu for the price of 1 ✌

Tasting Platter ($83+) Nice environment, there was only 4 tables taken for the night so it was a quiet place. It was a 13 course meal, and each dish was very dainty. Small and cute. All the items are organic and the chef didn't put any seasonings to it. There were some miss and hits. Personally the tomato stew with crab was very well executed. Another personal favorite would be the Pate of Cooked Chicken Liver, interesting burst of flavors. The bay scallops and pepper was good too. The others are just alright. Can tell that the chef put in alot of effort. Quite nice for a date night.

Artisan dessert A fancy restaurant to indulge in artisan desserts. Love my experience at Mad About Sucre with my friends. We got 4 desserts that come with tea/cocktail pairing. The service staff were really attentive, taking their time to explain the ingredients in each dessert. Expect to spend about $30 per pax but I feel that the money spent is worth the experience.

ravioles de royans ($18 - S) look how cute the ravioli are!! so small!! they’re filled with cheese and laden in(?) a delicious cream sauce. as much of a cheese lover as I am, I highly recommend sharing this as it’s veryy rich!

Scrambled Eggs ($20++) I’ve always loved creamy and fluffy scrambled eggs, but this one missed a mark a teeny bit. The Scrambled Eggs dish ($20++) includes eggs topped with aged parmesan (and supposedly truffle paste, but I only tasted/smelled a hint of it), crusted sourdough bread, and salad greens. I wouldn’t reco this for hungry eaters (like I was when I ate) as I had to prolong eating it for distributed digestion (lol) and so I can stay a bit longer 😅😋 Place is very good though. Love the warm lighting and warm service. I would come back but will most likely try a main dish next time :)

Really Good French Food And Not Too Expensive We got the truffle pizza, duck rillettes (LOVED THIS), marinated prawns (had a bit of a SG flavour to it but still liked it), ravioles large, green asparagus pizza (didn't really like this as it was too salty for me). For drinks, we got the nectar pear but it was a little too sour for me. Overall really enjoyed the food, company and ambience!

Unagi Linguine Mala unagi linguine ($14) XO King prawn linguine ($14.95) ⭐️ 3/5 ⭐️ 🍴Affordable lunch bowls averaging $15 at this cosy restaurant in the CBD. Flavour-wise, the pastas were enjoyable with their unique Asian twist on a classic Italian dish. The mala was fragrant with a good level of spicy kick, while the XO prawn was rich in umami notes. The seafood was also well-marinated and fresh, and we enjoyed the soft and tender unagi, and juicy king prawns. While the pasta was nicely al-dente, we found the texture to be slightly strange - almost more starchy (sticks to the teeth) and floury. 3 Course Lunch Set - $78++ Amazing experience: great ambience, location, service and food! The restaurant has a michelin star for a good reason. 1. They start with breads (we got 3 options: sourdough, potato curry and squid ink) and butter (2 options: & unsalted french butter) 2. Spirit of Singapore canapes (which is essentially 3 types of appetizers). Indian pappadam, beef short rib, seafood otah) 3. 1st course: we were served cured hamachi & burrata with pickled vegetables in a granite dish & pickled crushed ice to keep it refreshing 4. 2nd course: (you get an option of fish, chicken and beef -$24) I went with fish! I was served a stingray with Indonesian rempah cooked with french tomatoes and seasoned with kaffir lime to replace the sambal :) 5. It was time for a palette cleanser sorbet! 6. 3rd course: A whiff of mont blanc - a deconstructed mont blanc with some twists like Japanese red bean. They call it a little brother of mont blanc 7. Petite four: 3 types of small pastries to go along your tea/coffee order Each course is a chapter and comes with a little card which you can keep as a momento. They have very nice wine collection on their menu and a friendly sommelier to guide you to your taste. The wines are on the expensive side. But, overall the experience is totally worth the price. You may choose a 5 course or a 7 course menu if you are used to bigger plates.

Fish and chips Quite big portion of fish and chips. I also tried the cake, recommended to check this cafe out!

Iced latte I remember the location as fresh fruits lab and loved their stuff. Was surprised to see another cafe but realised it’s by the same people that owned the previous place. The coffee was fragrant and balanced. I will need to go back for food the next time. But I really liked the aesthetic it has a very French Bistro vibe Also the paper straw that they gave me didn’t disintegrate after a few sips.

Soft Shell Crab Burger ($19++) Crispy soft shell crab with lettuce, tomatoes and homemade chili crab sauce, served with fries and fruit salad .

Striploin Donburi ($23.90) Overall: 7/10 Miam miam's beef donburi has its highs and lows. The beef was seasoned well and really tender. Despite not having a good sear/crust, it still stood out and I enjoyed it. Together with the rice, onsen egg and pickles, this was a satisfying bowl with a portion that was just right. The price, however, is definitely steep for this bowl. At $23.90 and for the cut of meat, the price is definitely steep for this bowl. Competitors do edge this one out, and perhaps a lunch set could fix this issue. famous french toast ($10.80) whipped cream was light, toast was not too eggy nor too bread-y. overall a yummy dessert!!

Hens Eggs A much refined take on the classic British eggs and soldiers; Jaan’s Hens Eggs had a really intriguing blend of flavours. Think a rich and silky bright orange yolk that is well-infused with the herby aroma of rosemary, gently cradled between sliced truffle and sits on a soft cauliflower custard throne. On the side, to amp up the luxe factor, the caviar and mushroom jam adds a briny and savoury punch to the smokey oozy egg. Sweet Summer Tomato A herbaceous number to really open up your taste buds, the Sweet Summer Tomato was a burst of freshness especially with the crown of herbs and icy basil sorbet. Stuffed with more basil and creamy burrata cheese, the vibrant sphere was also juicy and well-seasoned.
