Noodle Soup ($7) I’ve always been a fan of the dry version, but decided to give this soupy version a try nonetheless! It tastes similar to the dry one and same ingredients as well. Nothing wrong with this, though I still prefer the dry one personally 😛

Crab cake Benedict Benedict (poached egg with creamy cheese) on in-house crab cake (texture a little like hash brown but more seafood creamy taste) on sour dough. Sided with some salad veg. $20. Good creamy egg as breakfast.

Pulled Pork and Avocado Eggs Benedict Should be better in terms of flavour. Ordered this dish because of good reviews. However, when taking a bite, the taste of food was overpowering. Had to dabble with egg to balance out the flavour of pulled pork. To put it simply, it was salty. Cost: $20

Char Siew & Roast Meat Rice Branded food can tell the difference. I didn't realise this is Guan Chee until I started eating.

Shrimp Dumpling Noodle (Medium Size) $9.30 The medium size of this shrimp dumpling noodle set is really decent! You get 1 bowl of wanton soup with 4 shrimp wantons and another bowl for noodle (lard Is in the bowl 😉) The egg noodle is springy and coated well with right amount of chilli source. Each dumpling has the whole shrimp and pork in it. We savour the texture of every components. 👍 We don’t like their veg (cai xin) that much as it is quite a big stem P.S. stir up chilli at the bottom. 🌶 . . . 📍 Guan Chee Hong Kong Roast Food Opera @ Ion Orchard #B4-03/04

2 Mixed With Rice (Roasted Duck + Roasted Pork) Medium Size ( $10.80 ) Well known for its specialized and authentic Hong Kong cuisine, we are happy that we found their outlet in Ion Orchard basement.🤩 The 2 mixed set is very generous in term of duck & Pork quantity. The set come with 2 small tubs of chilli sauce, rice, cucumber & pickle. Quality of meat is also very good (compared to other Michelin Bibgourmand place in Chinatown that gives a lot of bones) 🧐 The chili sauce is not too spicy and balance well with the flavor of duck meat & crispy skin roasted pork. Absolutely happy with this 2 mixed set and it won’t be too much saying that we enjoy eating here the most in SG and it teleports us to the original roasted meat place in Hong Kong. 🇭🇰

Salmon Seafood ($6) Look out for their takeaway deals, there’s a small fridge area beside the cashier where you can get sushi on-the-go. $6 for 8 sushi is a pretty good deal. Sushi tasted fine and normal. They give you chopsticks, wasabi and soya sauce at no extra charge as well.

Chicken Cutlet My economical alternative to Shihlin.

Chicken Cutlet Braised Pork Bento Here's the thing: Snackz It does not make the best chicken cutlet or any Taiwanese eats, but its X-factor is in what it does with them, for example this bento combining chicken cutlet and lu rou, or mee sua without oysters, or nacho cheese chicken cutlet. In conclusion, it shouldn't surprise you the chicken and pork were not special haha.

Snackz it! Oyster Mee Sua ($4.50) 😋 Had this light snack as dinner after pigging out over the long weekend. It was yummy, especially with lots of vinegar added. 😜 #burpple

Curry & Curry Part 2/2 We were also impressed with the 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 — delectably crispy and redolent of prawn paste — and 𝗙𝘂 𝗬𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗴𝗴, which was expertly fried to produce a crispy exterior and fluffy interior, yet amazingly wasn’t soaked in oil. We didn’t like the mediocre Stir 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗿 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝗶 𝗕𝗮𝗶 (it didn’t cost $91 but it was still too pricey for a neighbourhood eatery) and the disastrous 𝗦𝘄𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗸. The latter consisted of a few sad-looking lumps and a bowl of bland gravy that was neither sweet nor sour. As its name implies, the specialties at Curry & Curry are the curry dishes, and the Curry Fish Head would be definitely worth your while.

Curry & Curry Part 1/2 A decent zi char option near Kovan MRT Station is Curry & Curry. Although the dishes we tried were hit and miss, the 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 was phenomenal. Fleshy and succulent, the meat of the fish was infused with the flavours of the spicy curry. The accompanying pieces of okra and tomato also soaked in the curry beautifully, making them more drool-worthy.

Rendang Chicken & Kangkang Saw many good reviews on the fish head here, but I came alone and was worried I could finish the entire fish head myself. Decided to try their rendang chicken. Very generous amount of rendang, and chicken was soft and tender. Will return again for the fish head with a companion next time

Salted Egg Pork Ribs Rice Hidden at the corner of the HDB block, you find a eatery selling tze char and all sorts of Asian cuisine. One of their signature dish would be the salted egg, and this time I choose to get the pork ribs version. Surprisingly the pork ribs super juicy and the salted egg tasted too sweet for me, while the spicy hint still there.

Good bbq food Set B (beef & pork) @ $69+ 6 x side dishes that come for free and refillable foc. The marination of the meats are quite good and it's nice to have someone do the bbq-ing for u. Will consider it overpriced if we have to do it ourselves.

Yakitori Rice Burger ($4.80) I felt that their yakitori plus rice burger was really that dry aftertaste tbh bc we probably removed mayo off from the burger itself and also the yakitori sauce they didn't give much.

Menchikatsu Beef Burger This was so tempting. And I loved it. Beef, katsu, katsu sauce, shredded cabbage.

Truffle Mayo Chicken Burger It's not clear why this is a Halloween item, but it's definitely more trick than treat. Mos burgers are rarely bad, but the failure of this was the lack of a truffle taste to justify the name. Kudos to the chicken thigh.

Zha Jiang Mian It did its job.

Tin Foil Enoki Mushrooms Moist and spicy. Quite enjoyable.

Skewers Lamb, pork, broccoli, potato. The meats were okay this time, but shout-out for the chicken, which I didn't photograph, but which was one of the best chicken skewers I've had. The potato slices were soft not crispy.
