Rinjin Shokudo (鄰人食堂)

This Japanese restaurant hidden at one of the condo developments at Bukit Jalil, specialise for their mix and match Ichijusansai meal. Which you get to choose one main dish and two side dishes.

Lots of options to choose from. In my case, I went for this grilled sweet white miso-marinated flatfish. Love the texture and the taste.

Pairing my grilled fish with cold handmade tamagoyaki and hot agedashi tofu.

Place was packed! Not sure if it was because I was extra famished, every bite of the tender, juicy chicken patty paired with a heaping spoonful of the fluffy short-grain rice was heartily delicious. I'm positive as well that the cosy, dimly-lit environment and the minimalistic yet lively illustrations that filled the space contributed to my pleasant experience. ⁣

💬 In a (not so subtle) attempt to get us to leave and give way for the line of guests in waiting though, our dishes got cleared away really quick 😂 ⁣

My meal here was pretty brief, so I'd want to be back to have a deeper impression! As of present, they're in my good books 😋
