Rakuzen (SS15 Courtyard)

Rakuzen's new outlet at SS15 Courtyard promises to deliver the same consistently good food they're known for. Crank up the heat with the Cranky Salmon Roll (RM20), which pleases with spicy mayonnaise, salmon and crispy chips, or go for the Surumeika Sugatayaki (RM20), a delicious whole grilled squid. Finish with the Sakura Ebi Chahan (RM15) — the Sakura shrimps add an addictive crunch to the fried rice. Pro tip: Make reservations for groups of three or more.

Had a Japanese food craving the other day (when do I not?) so I dragged my friends to have Japanese food for dinner. Okay, I lied. I was gonna go alone if nobody wanted anyway, and my friend happily said yes anyway so 😌

Browsed through the menu and surprisingly saw cranky salmon maki. I never knew Rakuzen had that.. I wasn't that hungry so all I had was that, and soft shell crab handroll. If I remember correctly, the maki was RM20 and the handroll was RM10.

It was a bit on the pricier side but hey, once in a while should be okay. Plus it's right behind my house, so why not right.
