My wishlist for where to eat in New York is probably long enough to reach the moon (ok, I may be exaggerating) but I am rather proud of myself to have visited three spots on that list within the first day of my arrival of the Big Apple and l only got there in the early afternoon.
As Brooklyn is where weāre based for the first two nights of our trip, āPies n Thighsā was where we hit for our first meal, a late-ish lunch around 2pm.
I ordered the āFried Chicken Boxā which is an odd name since thereās no box in sight but the chicken was fantastic. Outrageously crispy of skin yet absolutely grease-free, the Southern-style fried chicken was tender and juicy within, and simply but perfectly seasoned.
I found the accompanying biscuit too dry for my liking but the baked beans, my choice of complimentary side, is possibly the best version Iāve eaten so far (will share more in a separate post).
Delicious. So much better than I was even expecting. Loved this local Brooklyn hangout for brunch.
Looks cute, but that's about it
With the best biscuit ever!
