Phra Pathom Chedi Night Market

When I visited Nakhon Pathom, there was a bazaar held around the famous Phra Pathom Chedi for a limited time. I don’t think it is there now, but it was memorable enough to write about. The market was huge, stretching across all four sides, so walking through felt like circling one giant square with the temple standing proudly in the middle.

There were countless food choices as we wandered along, soaking in the atmosphere and enjoying the relaxed vibe. After some time, thirst set in, so we stopped by the Lemon Kindee stall to refresh ourselves. The name translates to “Lemons are good to eat,” and their drinks lived up to it, perfectly cooling for the hot weather.

Fresh Lemon (THB 35)
Freshly squeezed, bright and zesty. Simple yet so cooling. The crushed ice was no joke, filled to the brim, and the shiokness from drinking it was pure satisfaction.

Honey Lemon (THB 50)
Sweet and mellow with a citrus kick. Served chilled, balancing honey smoothness with lemon sharpness. A comforting drink that hit the spot.

Now that I am back, I really miss this drink. Hope to cross paths with Lemon Kindee again if I return to Thailand. I wonder where they are now.
