Not the melt in your mouth kind of char siew but definitely still flavorful and each piece is rather thick. While the environment is nothing to shout about, felt like they focus more on getting the quality and quantity right for the price one is paying. I enjoyed the fried rice with scallops and egg white that I ordered as well, not too oily and not lacking in ingredients
The spicy vinegar sauce complements the dumplings very well. The dumpling is really good, filled with a whole fresh prawn, bamboo shoot and some minced meats. (S$9.20).
Smooth hor fun with wok-hei egg gravy (S$12.50).
A plate of hor fun that’s full of wok-hei flavor. However, it would be better if given more sauce so that it won’t be too dry after mixing the thin smooth hor fun. (S$12.80).
One of my favourite places for congee! The congee was smooth and flavorful, sufficient to keep my tums full till the next meal. Buried underneath, there’re meat, fish maw, pig liver, roast duck, a slice of abalone and not forgetting the raw egg that’s cracked on to the congee. (S$12.80).
The roast pork has a nice smoky flavor with a savory crispy skin. The fats and lean meat are in perfect proportion. Definitely a must-order for me whenever I patronized this restaurant. (S$13).
