Listed on the Michelin Bib Gourmand for 3 consecutive years this place serves handmade Kalguksu noodles - texture so Q and smooth, topping off with its robust soup flavor makes this unassuming bowl of noodles at first sight the perfect comfort food in this sweater weather. Mandu(s) are alright, the noodles is still the star here! The best kind of food are the ones that taste so good on their own you don’t need any condiments to go with it
The noodles were really silky smooth and soft. Not really my type of noodles though, because i prefer mine with a greater bite to them. The dumplings that came with this weren't their signature mandus though. They were smaller and triangular shaped and didn't have quite as much fillings too.
Famed for its hand sliced noodles, they were smooth and chewy, somewhat resembles Banmian, but less doughy. The other highlight was the clear yet rich chicken broth soup, that doesn’t leave you thirsting for water after the meal. Portion is huge so do consider sharing for light eaters.
Had this last dec and it was the only repeat meal I had during my trip last month because IT IZ THE BEST. Not exactly cheap ($12 for 10 dumplings) but IT IZ THE BEST JUICY PLUMP DUMPLINGS. Only 3 items on the menu (dumplings, kalguksu / noodle soup, and bibimguksu / cold noodle) and they are all damn good.
Their Dumpling (Mandu) are nice but I think this chopped noodle is very good. The noodle is so Q and I saw a lot of local Korean are eating this more than the dumpling. #myeongdong #myeongdongkyoja #mandu #choppednoodles #joetravelaroundtheworld #burpple
The restaurant is known for their knife-cut, handmade kal-guksu (noodle soup) which is its main menu item.
Also popular are the mandu (dumplings), bibim-guksu (spicy noodles). A look at their gorgeous dumplings.
