Ming Fa Fishball (Tekka Centre)

The only fishball noodles that we would eat is from Ming Fa Fishball. Noodles springy, fishballs so freshly sweet and bouncy, unlike the frozen ones we get from supermarkets. Even the vinegar, chili and tomato used for the noodles balances out each other to give a generous flavor to each strand of noodle 🍜 #burpple

Having tried Ming Fa Fishball Noodles at their Thomson branch a couple of times before (it was part of my NS life anyway), I thought I wouldn't be going very wrong to get myself this for lunch at Tekka Centre. Sadly, the version served at Tekka Centre is a tad disappointing — it lacks the punch that the Thomson branch delivers. While the portion is pretty decent, the Pork ball was a little stodgy and hard to bite through; somewhat coarse within, and the sauce that the noodles were tossed with lacks the punchy, savoury and spicy kick that the Thomson branch does so well.
