Simple, light and is one of the lightest meals on the pocket as seen from the menu. L'Usine carries itself as a brand name of dishes where east meets west (with more west in it). I've never had Banh Mi before as I've never fancied thick-crust bread and more so for a sandwich. If you're not one to fuss on where you eat and are fine with any Banh mi then this would be the place. The ambience and post-lunch crowd feel has me very much at ease up until the struggle to catch the attention of any server overtakes.
They sold clothing and accessories at their front door and cafe at the second floor. I sat at their outdoor balcony enjoying a cup of ice cold Vietnamese coffee and a warm/cold apple pie. Watching the bikers rushing through the narrow streets and listening irritating horning sound! (It was so different while I was on the street)
Slices of caramelized Apple with a hint of cinnamon. The melted ice cream sipped in between of the apple slices making it so cozy to eat. Oh Yes! The stripes of orange zest made it so un-real-ly good.
