[MULTIPLE OUTLETS, SINGAPORE] I've been a fan of @sinpopobrand bakes for a long time, but my biggest gripe for most of their cakes is that it's too sweet to me. Their Pulut Hitam Cake 🎂 ($29) however, is an exception. This cake definitely gets the biggest compliment an Asian can give: it's not too sweet.

I've been wanting to try this flavour for some time and I'm glad I did. The sponge is soft and moist, and it complements perfectly with the coconut cream that is so aromatic. You can tell the cream is freshly made! The cake is topped with Pulut Hitam paste which gives you the classic nutty rice flavour.

All 7 members of my family, young and old, loved the cake. Definitely a cake that will stand the test of time. At their current price point of $29, I really think it's a steal. Will be ordering this flavour next time 😋

[JOO CHIAT, SINGAPORE] can I just say that I don't really eat much teochew kuehs, but @ahyeessoonkueh's rendition made me a convert 😍 they have a variety of traditional kuehs to get and my family and I loved all of them!

One thing is constant among all of the kuehs that they whip up, and is that they are generous with their ingredients. All of their savoury kuehs are bursting with filling, and even their glutinous rice is full of dried shrimp which made it so flavourful!

As their yam and pumpkin cakes are full of dried shrimp and various ingredients, there were many layers of flavour and it's even nicer if you can pan fry pieces of them to get a crispy crust 🤤

Their prices are affordable as well, with their savoury kuehs mostly at $1.80 each and sweet kuehs at $1.30 each. You can get most of the items here online via pickup or delivery, which makes things much more convenient 😍 if you are craving for such kuehs, do consider them as your option!

There may be many mixed vegetable rice around in Singapore, but @dilys_creation really does it differently. I got 1 meat and 2 sides ($6.50 with beef) and their beef rendang was really special! With a very thick rich gravy and very tender meat, I found myself going for more. It was really well seasoned!

I would like to give another shout out to their curry, as it was much thicker than your usual mixed vegetable rice stalls and so much more fragrant and aromatic. Definitely gonna try their curry chicken next time!

They also sell some small bites and desserts too. Will be back as this will be one of my office lunch options!

My whole family was very thoroughly impressed with @takeabakesingapore as their bakes not only look good, they taste really good too!

We got the Excavator design with chocolate sponge cake and we were so awed by their detailed design! Definitely one pretty cake to impress guests and children 😍 the sponge cake within was soft and moist, and the cream within wasn't too sweet. Absolutely loved the chocolate coating as it was like a chocolate ganache. We could all tell that it's made from quality chocolate!
