Croissants / French Pastries
La Levain has launched yet another super creative creation: the Onigiri Croissants! These adorable pastries are shaped like Japanese onigiris, complete with a strip of seaweed to complete the look.
š±Scallion Sour Cream ($7.20)
This croissant is so fresh and savoury! The sour cream is light and creamy while the scallion is slightly crunchy and tangy, the perfect combination. Savoury croissant fans must try this.
š§Mentaiko Cheese ($7.50)
They really do not hold back on the mentaiko! The filling is super rich and creamy with a strong mentaiko taste plus bits of roe that give the cream a unique slightly grainy mouthfeel. Its a tad salty for me but for those who love strong flavours, youāll probably love this.
š Orh Nee ($7.20)
Omg where to begin with this??? This was 100% my favourite of the 4 flavours I tried! Dont expect any ordinary taro paste, this filling is jam-packed with sweet and savoury flavour. The aroma of the shallots shines through in this croissant and its perfectly smooth and delectable. So amazing, must try!
šSicilian Pistachio ($7.20)
The pistachio flavour is rich and very nutty, I love how the cream isnāt too sweet. I love pistachio so I loved every bite of this!
š„ Ham & Cheese Croll
šSwish Rolls (@swishrolls.sg)
š Cluny Court
š° $5.80
This is like breakfast in a croissant. Shit its so good. Croissant is flaky. Cheese is oozy and doesnt taste processed. Ham is meaty. Its like an elevated ham and cheese sandwich because you get the crispy butteriness of the croissant. Must get!

š„ Pistachio Burnt Cheese Croissant
šLa Levain (@lalevainsg)
š Hamilton Road
š° $7.80
A really creative pastry because combining pistachio and cream cheese is pretty unorthodox to me. The pistachio gives the cheese a nutty profile, but the creamy elements of the cheese are still able to shine through. The croissant itself is buttery and flaky and acts as the perfect base for the burnt cheese interior.
A really cool croissant, great to try if you like pistachio!

š„ Citrus Milky Snow Croon
šBakery Brera (@bakerybrera)
š 8 Empress Road
š° $7.50
Too many circular croissants out there but hereās Bakery Breraās take on it, made with lemon curd on the inside I believe. Its pretty light and tangy with a nice amount of sweetness to balance out the citrus. The croissant gets a bit soggy on its own so its best to heat it in the oven first.

šÆBunny Madeleine ($5)
This adorable madeleine is made with more care compared to regular madeleines, as they bunnies have to be removed from the moulds carefully so as to not break their ears or tails. I could instantly taste the sweetness of the honey that was added, and I loved how buttery and aromatic the entire madeleine was.
ā¤ļø8 Treasures ($7.80)
This pastry is made with 8 ingredients: jujube, longan, walnut, raisins, green tea, chrysanthemum, goji and honey. The jelly dome on the top has a nice aromatic taste and the entire pastry is fragrant and not too sweet. I was surprised at how well the jelly dome went with the traditional French pastry!
š„Jujube Honey ($8.80)
This croissant is generously filled with red dates, longan stew pastry cream and topped with candied red dates. The croissant remains crisp even after a long time, and the fillings complement the buttery nature of the croissant well. The red dates give the pastry a very traditional taste and its definitely one of the most unique croissant flavours Iāve had.
