Afternoon tea
Tried The Landing Point's afternoon tea last year and it was a nice place to have tea at. Though there were hits and misses for both the savouries and the sweetd, the portions were generous for the price point. The sets were very pretty and the sweets fared better than the savoury items for this menu (though some items were too sweet for my liking). We got @chopesg vouchers for this and it was 30% off which made it a good deal too!
@charcoalfishheadsteamboat serves affordable fish steamboat sets and other dishes too! The steamboat we had had flavourful broth and I liked how we could add extra ingredients to it such as beancurd skin and yam. The tze char dishes were good as well, we had cereal prawns, seafood yam ring and chicken wings. The dishes were crispy when required and portions were larger than expected too š Worth a try but they get booked up on weekends so making a reservation would be recommended.
Found a kind of secret @twgteaofficial a while back after cancelling our reservation with a hotel that only informed us about their menu change one day before our appointment (when I booked weeks in advance). We could only walk in and this outlet was quiet enough for us to be seated immediately too! Food was pretty decent and the prices were rather reasonable compared to other afternoon tea sets out there too! My friends loved the scones with the tea jelly a lot as well š overall, service was good and we liked the ambience too!
Tried @ginger.lilysingapore's afternoon tea recently and we enjoyed it quite a bit! The serving was rather large especially for the savouries, there was a good variety of items and we got to try different types of tea! The dessert stood out more than the savouries and my favourite item from the dessert is the Valrhona 46% Amatika Chocolate Cake, it was rich, chocolatey and moist at the same time š The savoury items were rather normal but decent and my favourite item is the Iberico Ham Crostini because it was more unique.
I especially appreciated how the teas offered were more unique, they are from @gifeltea and they have a Ginger Lily House Blend too. I preferred the Ginger Lily in the kombucha form, served as their welcome drink and the tea I liked most served hot was the Singapore's Glory which features a floral blend of flavours. Overall, I thought this was quite value for money with good food and tea, along with a relaxing atmosphere and good service too! I would return again when their menu changes to try more items š
