Purchased 2kg worth of fresh Snow Crabs (59,000w/kg) for a take-out and it comes with complementary fried rice, coffee and handmade sauces. Unless you have an online delivery account in Korea, you can walk-in/call to order for a take-out.
Be prepared to wait for 30 minutes upon ordering but they do have a beautiful pink reception area (and great service!) that made the wait more bearable..
We understand that the shop takes pride in preparing everything on their own (even sealing the coffee into the can). The crabs were VERY FRESH and were cut and clean perfectly which made it VERY easy to eat.
Will definitely come back again!
Ordered a Sausage Tteokbokki Stew for 2 (Medium Spicy, 15,000w) for the 3rd time! Chanced upon this cosy basement restaurant in back in 2014 and so glad that it survived the pandemic. Local uni students love to patronize Dukmiga, as it is very wallet friendly and now it offers vegan option as well!
Other items we added was a bottle of soju (5,000w - not the cheapest) and tuna fried rice with extra mozzarella (4,500w).
The portion used to be more generous but the taste remains the same. Mozzarella cheese makes stew very very delicious. Will definitely come back again next time.
Waited for 2.5 hours for the bagels. Worth the wait? Maybe, max for an hour. The dining space was limited and the staff were caught unprepared for the crowd. Nonetheless, the freshly baked bagels were really really soft and fragrant. Variety offered were also very interesting.
We ordered bagels for both dine-in and takeaway - Double Bacon Potato (left, 14,800w), Spring Onion Pretzel (mid, 8,500w), Potato Cheese (right, 5,500w); Takeaway - Salt Butter (4,700w), Cinnamon Pecan (4,700w), Pepperoni Japlapeno Cheese (5,500w). Each bagel is quite filling so be prepared! For the spring onion pretzel, the cheese filling can get quite thick so you may not want to go along with other thick flavor like mash potato bagel..
I will be back for this! But hopefully to a more shorter waiting time!
Dawoorang Dumpling is famous among local and foreign tourists who are traveling down to Jeonju Hanok Village! The place was quickly packed with customers shortly after it’s opened. The filling portion was generous too. We personally like the King Pork Rib dumpling because the flour and meat ratio was just nice! Dabbed with vinegar, perfect!
A quaint cafe tucked within a quiet alley near Bukchon Hanok Village. A place to go for breakfast and brunch if you like Greek yogurt and oats! We ordered a Banana Pudding (바나나 푸딩 - 7,900w) and a cup of iced Royal Milk Tea (로얄 골드 밀크티 - 6,500w) and it tasted great! Loved the crunchiness coming from the oats but word of caution - it’s not for people with brittle teeth.
It’s a definitely place to chill away from the crowd. Food wise, it was pricier than usual and quality was average for a bibimbap. We ordered Jeonju bibimbap (12,000w) and beef tartare bibimbap (15,000w).
For the beef tartare bibimbap, my husband found the sauce covering the taste of the beef tartare. For those who prefers a strong beef taste, perhaps you could order the ala carte instead. As the restaurant specializes in beef ribs (and I don’t really take beef + tight budget), you can try that instead of the bibimbap.
Came back after 6 years, glad to see that the shop survived the pandemic! The place has since changed a little as the floor tables were being replaced with standard dining tables.
We ordered Soy Marinated Crabs - Ocean Caught (23,000w) and River Caught (12,000w), Tofu Stew (5,000w) and Maekgoli (5,000w). Food comes with complementary sides, rice and miso/soy bean soup. You wouldn’t get this level of freshness and price in Singapore! The service is great too! However, the tofu stew was average and too bland for my liking.
In comparison to what I had 6 years ago…I felt the small portion and quality of sides no longer justify the price (inflation is real). The price doubled over the course of 6 years. But if everywhere else is inflating, I think this is alright?
