A really comforting bowl of seafood soup on a rainy night! The soup is very rich with umami, and filled with quite generous portions of sliced fish/meat. Would definitely come back again!
Always an enjoyment having stuffed with a healthy bowl like this! Topped with truffle egg mayo, broccoli, buttered corn, edamame, soba with roasted sesame sauce! Queue is usually long during peak hours so be prepared to go earlier or wait.
Authentic Japanese food served at a casual restaurant with a variety of choices! Ordered the Kuroge Wagyu Katsu Set and Omurice with Double Large Breaded Shrimp with #BurppleBeyond - 2 mains and drinks @ $23.50. Pretty worth it for the price and the quality of food!
Housed in a neighbourhood coffeeshop at FoodLoft Clementi, this zichar stall offers a variety of dishes. We got the Prawn Paste Chicken and Pork Ribs with #BurppleBeyond - 2 medium-sized dishes @ $20.00. Service was quite fast on a weekend late afternoon.
We got the Salmon Ahumado and Baked Truffle Carbonara with #BurppleBeyond - 2 dishes @ $16.90. The pancakes were savory with corn bits inside and served with egg and salmon, while the pasta was a little too creamy for our palettes.

Located outside of International Plaza, this restaurant serves very affordable don! We got the Bafo Don ($12.80) with a Yuzu-based homemade drink ($3.80) with #BurppleBeyond - 2 mains and drinks @ $16.60! The lady boss was very friendly and shared with us the top-selling items on the menu. Highly recommend!
Nestled in Bukit Timah Plaza, this Japanese stall had a nice cosy ambience with its wooden furniture. As it was a rainy day, ordered their seasonal special Fish Broth Ramen, which was so rich with salmon flavour. Would definitely be coming back again to try other affordable yet high quality food!
If you are looking for homely Korean food, here's one to visit. Run by a Korean family, this is located at the ground floor of Hillview CC. Dishes rotate daily, with the day's menu featured on their IG account. We liked the beef stew, soup and their mochi waffle dessert!
With a choice of up to 2 bases, 7 toppings and 2 poke, this was a satisfying healthy bowl! Just seeing the rainbow colours was enough to make us happy, what more the delightful taste. The place was quite empty on a weekday afternoon, suitable to chill and work.
Located at the entrance of Kopitiam, you cannot miss its bright yellow logo walking in. We ordered Braised Pork Rice Bento and Pork Intestine Mee Sua with #BurppleBeyond - 2 bowls @ $5.80. The rice was served with a generous portion of braised pork, egg and preserved vegetables, while the mee sua was served with chewy innards. Overall, both were delicious and it made us miss Taiwan even more!
A satisfying bowl of tom yum soup with a balance of spicyness and sournesss, along with a slight creamy flavour. Here you can customise your noodles (e.g. Ee Mian) and toppings (e.g. minced meat). Prices had been revised across all stalls at NIE canteen since 1 July 2022.
