Newly opened at United Square Mall! They have an interesting concept of 'zhng-ed' up instant noodles from around Asia, with selections from Japan, Korea, Thai and many others. Can choose the instant noodle base, and it will come with a choice of 3 ingredients, a protein, and a drink. You can also choose to add on additional ingredients, upgrade your drink, and even opt for the store's signature soup bases! Very customisable for people with different preferences.

We chose the MAMA Creamy Tomyum ($11.90) and the Nissin Kyushu Red Spicy Creamy Broth ($13.90). While the prices might seem high, they do give a healthy serving of the ingredients such that you're guaranteed to be satiated. Taste-wise, it's the familiar flavours of the instant noodles, but you can tweak it to your liking with the free-flow condiments bar - add on as much fried shallots, garlic, chilli oil, and spring onions to your hearts desire!

Overall, although there were some things I could nitpick about, it was still a satisfying meal for us. Would return for their daily bowl weekday specials where the prices are more affordable, and for the signature soups which I heard are pretty good!

Heard the buzz and of course I had to try it for myself. There are two soup options - clear and spicy - so we got both to try, in the pork variation and the prawn variation. Right off the bat, the spicy soup looked so much more delectable and enticing, and on first sip the spiciness and underlying sweetness of the broth really blew me away. The 'gao'-ness of the broth was quite addictive and paired quite nicely with the noodles. Special shoutout to the minced meat which had that bite to it, not like the flavourless minced meat balls from elsewhere. On the other hand, I think the clear broth can be passed, as there was nothing outstanding to it, especially comparing side by side with the spicy option. Only get it if you can't take spicy, but otherwise it just tasted like the maggi chicken seasoning.

Curry broth was rich, savory, and delicious. Big pieces of chicken which had bones in but the meat was tender. I slurped this up in no time.

Price increased over the years, taste dipped slightly but still delicious. Don't forget to add the chilli, it makes a world of difference to the curry.

A farily popular store at this food centre, and for good reason. Their dry noodles come in a very unique sauce that has a distinct smokey character to it - no where else have I tasted noodles like this before! The noodles themselves are chewy and has a nice bite, and the chilli has a spicy-sour kick that overall just gives this dish much more oomph. Their soup is also not your average run-of-the-mill soup either, it's almost like egg drop soup here. And best of all, all this for just $4.50...woo!

The 'Noodle Specialist' in their stall name is real - I'm not really a fan of wanton mee, but their rendition really left my eyes open wide at the first bite. The $4.50 version was already chock full of minced pork, char siew, and crisp wantons and veges. But the magic was in the sauce - deliciously umami and flavourful, it left me wanting more and more. All in all, a store well-deserving of its various merits and accolades.

No frills eatery with a clean and bright atmosphere offering traditional hawker fare. I had the Dry Charsiew Black Wanton Mee (RM7.90 for small), the Kaya Butter Toast (RM2.90), and a cup of Iced White Coffee (RM3.50). Wanton mee was decent, with springy noodles in deliciously savoury and spicy sauce. But the charsiew strips were dry and tasteless. The Kaya butter toast could have been toasted a little but more, and my coffee was quite bland even at the 'gao' level (maybe next time I will choose 'gaogaogao' xD). Overall, pretty decent fare at value for money prices, good for a simple and quick meal.

Had the Paofan with Enoki wrapped in pork belly and prawns for $8.80. On first glance, looks like an assuming portion in a surprisingly small bowl. However, one slurp of the broth changed my mind - it was so rich and hearty and flavourful, and every spoonful was elevated by the egg floss and spring onions. Honestly, pretty delicious. The portion of rice was also just right, though considering I have a smaller stomach than most other mind find it not as filling. The prawns were decently fresh but the pork belly-wrapped enoki was pretty meh - the meat was tough and had no flavour at all.

Comes with a decent-sized piece of teriyaki chicken, smatterings of brocolli, and a half-boiled egg atop rice. The teriyaki chicken is surprisingly delicious - beneath the standard teriyaki sauce was a very well-marinated and moist piece of chicken. A week later and I'm still thinking about the taste. Not bad, Killliney.

An affordable, no-frills, eat-and-go experience in the heart of town. Batter for both was not as crisp as I would have liked, and the pork chop had to little meat in my opinion. The chilli that came with leaned on the tangier side, and didn't really suit the chicken/pork chop. As for the sides, the fries+beans+coleslaw combo was decent, but the noodles was blander than I expected - at least they gave chilli! Overall, for an $11 meal for two, it's definitely a good place for a quick and simple meal.

Quite authentic, broth is almost like what I had in my childhood in Kuching. Noodles were plentiful, and there was substantial egg strips, shredded chicken, and taugeh. The bowl also came with THREE juicy and sweet whole prawns wow! Mix in the chilli and lime and you've got yourself a fantastic meal. Highly recommend.

I dare say this store has one of the best char siew in the whole of Singapore....forget about the roast duck (it's just average) and forget about the roasted pork (skin is crackling but so so fatty and oily), just head straight for the charsiew plus your choice of rice or noodles. The noodles are good but I prefer the rice as a blank canvas to the sweet saltiness of the charsiew and its sauce. For sides, the nai bai cai had an addictive sauce and the fried wontons was pretty filling and good. Otherwise, yeah a good place to satisfy your roast meat (read: charsiew) cravings although watch out for all the oil and fats.

Adventurous and always looking for new flavours on my tongue!
