Lovely place suitable for both intimate gatherings or larger get togethers. Saw many friends celebrating their birthdays or just getting drinks on the night we visited. Tried their various seafood dishes and we left feeling really satisfied. The grilled oysters, salmon tartare, and black cod with seaweed porridge definitely left us wanting for more. If you are up for some spice, the octopus with assam pedas hummus is worth a try too! Found myself saving the lotus root chips just so I could try to scoop up more of the hummus. The cod with porridge in particular felt like a homely dish prepared with a lot of time and effort. Would highly recommend if you are looking for something warm and comforting. The dessert was not bad too, and it was a good way to end off our meal.
Cosy spot with a nice ambience for lunch/dinner with friends, and the staff there are really friendly :) Of the dishes we tried, would highly recommend the "Moo Ping" smoked pork ribs. It was extremely tender and honestly one of the best I've had~ The seafood fried rice and morning glory also did not disappoint! If you cannot take spice, all these dishes would suit your tastebuds (and if you love spice you can ask for fresh chili to go with the food)!
Ordered the dory fish and batang fish seafood soups, as well as the ginger braised duck. Enjoyed these dishes but would highly recommend the batang fish seafood soup. The seafood soup was just nice (not too salty) and the batang fish complemented it very well. Good, casual spot to visit to satisfy your seafood craving :)
Tried the 8-course dinner there and was really impressed by the dishes. Special mention has to go to the seafood medley, which comprises 3 different dishes (oyster, white shrimp, scallop), the prawns, and the lobster poached rice. In particular, I really liked the oyster and white shrimp dishes in the seafood medley. Must also say that the grilled prawns were fresh and plump, I was actually surprised by the size of the prawns when I first saw them. Thought it was interesting that the prawns were served with a slightly sweet pumpkin puree! We got a pot of pu'er tea to share and I felt that it went well with the dinner we had :) Finally, expect excellent service here! They were really attentive and even made sure that our tea cups were filled at all times.
Service at Meat N’ Chill was really good. Ordered two ribs dishes and a seafood dish containing mussels for a party of two. The portion sizes are hearty and we were very full at the end, almost couldn’t finish. The ribs were nice and tender, very easier to cut through, although the marinade was on the saltier side. Mussels were cooked nicely as well. Would recommend this place!
Had the Crabmeat and Roe Rice Ball, as well as the Pork Rib Stew. The crabmeat and roe in the rice ball dish was very well seasoned, and were tasty enough that I would highly recommend this dish (and won't mind coming back for more!). Pork Rib Stew was also rich and flavourful. I particularly liked the rice cakes in the stew, which were really chewy! Highly recommend this place!
Ordered a variety of dishes, best menu items we tried were the skewers (chicken gizzard and black pork collar tasted great, loved the texture and flavour profile). Other notable selections include the pork jowl nigiri and rosti mentai, highly recommend!
Ordered the Chicken Nanban Don and enjoyed it. Did not expect the serving to be that big, but they were generous with the chicken. The sauce on top of the dish was also pretty nice. In general, very filling and worth a try!
