🥧Rhubarb Apple Crumble & Vanilla Ice Cream ($10)
The perfect combo of textures, temperatures and flavours. Digging into this dessert was like stepping into an air-conditioned room and being greeted with a warm hug. The slight tartness and soft, mushy texture of the warm rhubarb was well balanced by the sweet vanilla ice cream, and the crumble on top was buttery and fragrant with a satisfying crunch.

🥧 Chocolate Banana Pie
📍Tokyo Kitchen (@tokyokitchensg)
📌 Northpoint City
💰 $10

Thick ass pies >>> Ive always loved those Japanese restaurants offering the huge pie slices, and Tokyo Kitchen in Northpoint City is another spot selling these. Ngl the cross section isnt super neat but the taste is what matters.

Generally I found there to be a bit too much cream for my liking. There could have been more actual cake. The tart base itself was fragrant though.

Quite a standard pie, a little pricey honestly so I dont think I’d get again.

🥧 S'mores Pie
📍Windowsill Pies (@windowsillpies)
📌 Multiple Outlets
💰 $7.80

Ive had this pie 3 times now and each time I'm impressed. The tart base is really unique as its a combo of flaky and crunchy tart crusts. So buttery and fragrant. The chocolate filling is rich with both a chocolatey and malty taste. The marshmallows are also really delightful, soft and bouncy.

🍞 Peach Mango Pie
📍Jollibee (@jollibeesgofficial)
📌 Multiple Outlets
💰 $1.60

My friend and her parents had this pie too and they said that it was better than Mcd's pies. I was too stuffed on chicken to have it with them so I brought it home and had it the morning after, so perhaps the texture isn't the same, but it was still crispy after I toasted it.

The peach mango fillings are a little too sweet for me and i liked that there were actual chunks of fruit inside, but generally I felt like it tasted a tad artificial. It was still pretty good but probably not super suitable if you dont like very sweet stuff. Still worth a try tho

🥧 Rum & Apple Pie
📍Windowsill Pies (@windowsillpies)
📌 Multiple Outlets
💰 $7.80

I dont even like alcohol but this is bussin. The rum taste isnt too overwhelming, it adds just enough dimension of flavour to the pie. The apples are also soft and delicious, nicely caramelised with a cinnamon taste. Windowsill pies has some of the best pies imo, theyve yet to let me down!

Anything that Windowsill Pies puts out is just 👅👌 chef's kiss. This is their Toucan Pie, rest assured that no birds were harmed in the making of this pie. Instead, its made with pineapple curd and passionfruit glaze. Im not sure if this is still available as I got it a while back and it was a limited item.

Ive never had pineapple curd before so this was a really welcome first try. The curd was really tangy yet sweet and had a prominent pineapple taste to it. The passionfruit glaze was the cherry on top with its tart sweetness and crunchy little bits of passionfruit seeds.

Dont know how the hell they do it but @windowsillpies never disappoints... dang. Their outlets are a little out of the way but you can get them on @pickupp.sg with islandwide delivery, use my code 《BREADINOSAUR》for $5 off min spend $14!

In the meantime im excited to see what other flavours Windowsill Pies comes up with 🤑

This tart kinda tastes and looks very similar to a lemon meringue tart, except it has a passionfruit taste in the filling. It's really sweet and sour and the flavours are intense, which is sure to satisfy any sweet cravings. The crust is buttery and crumbly!

Really affordable in comparison to other tart places, and the taste definitely holds up. Would 100% visit YM Bakery again when I'm in the Paya Lebar area!

The second of the pies I got from Windowsill Pies! This is the S'mores Pie, with dark chocolate fudge, milk chocolate pudding, marshmallows and graham crackers.

The chocolate taste in this is INTENSEEE, its super rich! There's a nice mix of sweetness and palatable bitterness from the dark chocolate. The marshmallows add a bit of extra sweetness and chewy texture. The graham crackers are really fragrant and tasty too!

Such a good pie! Again wish the crust was thicker and more cookie-ish so it'd feel more like a smores pie, but definitely a great pie.

The mint cream is pretty light and not too jelak. It has a nice and refreshing mint taste! The dark chocolate ganache is pretty rich and complements the mint cream nicely. The chocolate cake bits add some texture to it too! The crust is really interesting cuz it's like a mix of being a flaky crust and a cookie crust. It's super thin, which is great if you like more filling than crust, but I do wish it was thicker.

This tart is just an explosion of flavours, with banana, coffee cream, chocolate and caramel (I'm actually not sure if there's caramel in this but the taste is quite strong).

Suuuuper fragrant, especially with the crumbly, buttery tart base. The coffee cream has a strong coffee taste with a hint of bitterness, which is nicely complemented by the sweetness of the chocolate / caramel and bananas. Such a great combo and I wish I'd tried this before!

For $4.40, it's one of the pricier items on the menu, but it's definitely worth it considering the quality, taste and size. Would definitely get again!
