Crispy wholemeal bread with Smoked salmon and cream inside. This dish is delicious but not that outstanding. One good thing is that it has thick salmon slices. The environment is really cozy and the service is nice. The menu on weekends is much better than weekdays! Waffles and other better brunch choices are only available on weekends. For those who wanna have a brunch here, please choose a weekend day😊
Literally cannot remember the exact name. A big brioche with sticky cinnamon sugar and walnuts. Really soft and delicious brioche especially after heating a short while. But the taste of cinnamon is not that outstanding, and I could hardly taste the cinnamon🥲, which is a little bit disappointed.
Hits all the right spots. Crispy fried chicken, soft chewy waffles, creamy scrambled eggs - I would definitely get this dish if I’m here again.
We came here 5 mins before it opened on a saturday morning and there was already a queue. I can definitely see why. My only (small) gripe is that it was pretty pricey.
💸: $4.20
💬: Had my doubts about these, but they were so cute I couldn't resist and I'm glad I didn't because these little baby muffins were so good!!!!!!
The muffin bites were dense (but not overly so) and buttery - pair that with the fragrant cinnamon sugar and it was 🥰🥰🥰
Really amazing! The environment is relaxing and the food is so good! I love the sourdough and poached eggs most! The sourdough has crispy outside and soft middle with the strong aroma of wheat, which highlights the whole day of a bread-holic. All other meat and vegetables are also so good while the flavors combined really amazing! The only bad thing is the price . A bit expensive($30) for a brunch. With a cup of coffee and gst,I spent &42 on brunch.
Brie cheese as my favorite, truffle as my favorite, the combination is the best combination that can ever happen.
BEST DISH OF THE NIGHT - everything else (besides the charcuterie) was meh.
Egg Galettes $12
Flat white $6
Enjoyed both the caramelised banana oat porridge and buttered sourdough with scrambled eggs and guacamole. Ambience was lovely too. A little on the pricey side.
Can’t decide between getting a cup of coffee or a chai latte? Well, worry no more, this Malindi Latte will solve your dilemma and satisfy your cravings for both beverages. Trust me, this drink is a happy marriage between an aromatic cup of coffee and an exotic chai latte. There isn’t any better way to describe it. What it actually consists of - Ubuntu espresso, softened and sweetened with creamy Hokkaido milk, spiced up with the cafe’s homemade Malindi spice syrup.
Being a fan of both chai latte and coffee, this drink was right up my alley. I liked how the drink had many layers - bitter and slightly sour from the espresso, yet sweet, milky, and also spicy, all packed into one cup! Every sip you take will hit you with so many tastes. Mmm.
The cafe was beautifully done up, you can tell a lot of thought has gone into each and every detail of its decor. I loved that the staff were also dressed in African-print clothes too. It’s great that they are quite serious about the whole African theme and are sticking to it. Though, it was a pity there was no African music playing in the background, that would’ve added the cherry on top.
We visited on a late Sunday morning and was lucky to get seats with no waiting time - we saw a little bit of a queue as we were leaving in the early afternoon. Best come a little earlier to avoid having to wait in the hot sun. Cafe is dog-friendly too with a few seats outside.
I saw so many people ordering this, and knew that I should get it as well! And it did not disappoint!! 😋 True to it’s name, the pancakes were really fluffy and moist. I liked the added crunch of the caramelised walnuts and crumbles. The salted caramel sauce added a nice finishing touch as well 👍🏼
That kinda sinfully sweet mornings that you’d wanna wake up to
